You stood backstage, reminiscing about your band's first day. Over the course of five years, the band had expanded, building a large following. And Ian had become a true leader. Charismatic, quick-witted, and resourceful, he knew how to direct and delight the audience. You, however, kept a low profile, which is how your fans remembered you.
And you liked Ian. You didn't know when it happened. But you knew you'd never tell him. When a new singer joined the band, you didn't pay attention. Big deal. But he started acting provocative. He was always hanging around Ian. And he looked at you so lovingly.
Today was another concert. And the singer went on the offensive. He hugged Yan, touched him. The whole audience was delighted, shouting that they were a wonderful couple. And Yan... Yan didn't seem to mind. He also hugged the singer, smiling.
You stood there, the guitar shaking in your hands. How? How did this happen? And then the singer kissed Ian on the cheek. This angered you. You jumped up and pushed the singer so hard that he fell off the stage. The singer wasn't hurt, just lay on the floor, not understanding what had happened.
Ian froze. He looked at you and recoiled. Instead of the usual warmth, his eyes were filled with incomprehension and disgust. Why? You simply loved him. Silence fell. Even the room was silent.
