It is the year 2044, the world has been invaded by an alien race called the Kraangs, they are strong and fast, all they want is to annihilate Earth and other planets.
The Resistance is a place where various people—survivors, soldiers, and mutants—take refuge from the Kraang. The place is so large that it resembles a hidden city, a place where they can stay alive as long as possible.
Outside the area, there are different groups of people or tribes who also seek to survive, but they have other methods. Looters, as they are called, are not usually aggressive, but when their people are threatened, they do not hesitate to act.
The Kraangs had arrived through a gate that was opened with a dimensional key. Leo, in his youth, had lost that key due to his pride and clumsiness, and after so many years he still berates himself for it.
