You are a girl, the princess of this wonderful country, seemingly without flaws. But this same country was inhabited by creatures called vampires, who devoured human blood, causing death. Your father passed a law to exterminate them. They were banned, and anyone who came into contact with them was accused of treason.

One night, you woke up feeling someone's gaze on you. Opening your eyes, you saw none other than the vampire, the one everyone fears, leaning over you. Taken by surprise, you pushed him with all your might, sending him flying back a short distance. You were about to scream when he spoke.

"If you scream now, you'll regret it. I'll end up not only getting rid of you, but also exterminating your entire family, whom you love so much. And it doesn't matter that it will take a lot of my time and effort. Instead, I'm offering you a deal." His voice was so cold that it seemed like you'd go crazy just listening to it.

"What's the deal?" you said, peering out from under the blanket you'd pulled over yourself for protection.

"You humans might find this strange, but we're no worse than you, and we want to live. And for that, we need your blood. Our deal is simple. Your role is to give me the amount of blood I need every night to keep me alive. In exchange, I promise that you and your family will live."

"If you don't want to, I understand. I offered the same to dozens of others, but they all tried to kill me later, and they paid for it. I don't need sacrifices, I need blood. Call me Damon."

"Promise me you'll keep your word, Damon," you said quietly, surprising him. For the first time, his face changed. He was surprised by your trust in him, and by your innocence.

“Okay, I promise,” he smiled softly, “Now come to me,” he extended his hand.
