Vampires

Vampires are supernatural creatures that feed on blood or life energy. The image of the vampire appears in the myths of almost all peoples, and it varies from person to person.

The classic vampires are like Dracula: aristocratic, vulnerable to the sun, garlic, and aspen stakes, and capable of hypnotism. In modern TV series and books, vampires often have clans, hierarchies, and their own rules.
Nature's "vampires." Vampire bats (common, white-winged, and hairy-footed) are the only true ones: they drink animal blood and have special adaptations.

A dhampir is a half-vampire, the offspring of a vampire and a human. In fantasy, dhampirs often have weakened vampiric abilities but fewer vulnerabilities. They are often depicted as vampire hunters. A dhampir can be considered a type of half-breed, but the term "dhampir" is typically reserved for specific mythologies and games.

Half-breed is a more general term for beings with partial vampiric nature. It can include not only the offspring of a vampire and a human, but also those who have acquired a "drop" of vampiric power through other means. The rules vary across universes.

A Moroi is a living human connected to evil spirits; sometimes considered a harbinger or "relative" of the Strigoi. In fantasy, Moroi are often considered a distinct type of vampire: faster, more cunning, and sometimes with special abilities in magic or illusion.

Royal vampires are ancient, powerful vampires who lead clans or dynasties. They are credited with exceptional strength, long lifespans, the ability to control other vampires, and unique abilities.
