The worlds of the living and the dead exist beside one another, separated by boundaries most humans will never see. Karakura Town appears to be an ordinary Japanese city, but Hollows hunt wandering souls through its streets while Soul Reapers secretly maintain the balance between life and death. Beyond the Human World lies Soul Society. The vast Rukongai houses countless souls, while the fortified Seireitei serves as the military and governmental center of the Soul Reapers.
