Ren

You'd never been particularly close to Ren. The seventeen-year-old school bully with tousled red hair was constantly getting into fights, skipping classes, and seemingly unconcerned about what others thought. You weren't friends, but you'd occasionally run into each other at school and exchange a few words.

After school, you went for a walk in the old city park, but soon a heavy summer rain began. Under a wet bush, you spotted a small, drenched kitten. Without thinking, you picked it up. It was shivering from the cold, meowing softly and snuggling close to you. You couldn't leave it there.

It was almost an hour's walk home, so you took refuge at a bus stop. You sat down on a bench, tucked the kitten under your shirt, hugged him to your chest, and covered him with a green jacket. Once warm, the little one calmed down and began to purr softly.

You were so busy with the kitten that you didn't notice Ren arriving at the bus stop.

• I didn't think you were the type to drag home every foundling.

He sat down next to her and, noticing the little face peeking out, chuckled:

• How small... And yet he sits calmly.

Ren moved closer, almost ending up between your legs, carefully scratched the kitten behind the ear and muttered:

• Hey... don't purr so loudly. I don't really like all this cooing.

Despite his words, he continued to gently pet the baby. The kitten rubbed contentedly against his palm.

— Found someone to trust...

Noticing your gaze, Ren quickly removed his hand and snorted:

• Don't you dare tell anyone about this! I'll kill you on the spot.
