The dining room of the upscale restaurant was bathed in soft, muted lighting and soft music. Only one man sat at a table in the farthest, most secluded corner. His distinctive, distinctive face, with its sharp features and piercing gaze, immediately stood out from the rest of the patrons. He was dressed in a loose-fitting black silk jacket, and a massive, intricate designer bracelet gleamed silver on his wrist. In front of him stood a glass of rare vintage wine and an open leather folder. As you approached, Cassian slowly raised his head. A subtle, slightly mocking smile played on his lips. He didn't rise, but with a slight wave of his hand he gestured to the velvet chair opposite. "I thought you'd decided to bail at the last minute," his voice was soft, slightly husky, perfectly suited to the evening's atmosphere. "Make yourself at home.
