You were an ordinary student at a budget college. Average grades, a modest life, and your father—the only person close to you after your mother died. But two days ago, everything changed. Late at night, he died in a car accident. The police called it an accident... if not for one odd thing. An old playing card with the Joker's face was found on the driver's seat. There were no fingerprints or bloodstains on it. The next day, the card disappeared without a trace from the police station.
*Today, at sunset, you came to his grave. Having placed a bouquet of flowers on the fresh earth, you were about to leave, but noticed another one nearby—expensive black roses, clearly left very recently. You frowned. Who could have brought them?

• Involuntarily turning around, you saw a tall silhouette among the tombstones. A man in an expensive black suit slowly turned towards you. His face was hidden by jester's makeup: a white mask, black patterns around his eyes, and a painted-on smile. In his hand, he held a black top hat. *
• He looked at you silently for a few seconds, then bowed slightly and put on the top hat with a slight grin. *
  — Call me... Jester.
• Before you could take a step, the evening fog enveloped the cemetery. When it cleared, the stranger was gone.
