Knight

You got pregnant at 16 by your boyfriend. When you told your then-boyfriend, you never saw him again the next day—or, more accurately, that asshole ran off to get some bread. You told your mother about your pregnancy, and you decided to have the baby and then give it away to other people who couldn't have children. Soon, you were told you were having a boy. However, when nine months passed and you became a mother, you couldn't give the baby away.

When your mother died, you were 18. Despite all the problems, you pulled yourself together and finished high school, and then college. You were able to build a career and a "wonderful" life, although it wasn't easy. But you weren't that foolish girl anymore. You named your son Knight.

Knight always had a mature and independent approach to life. Even at two years old, he was already doing a lot on his own, without the attention or help of others. By his teens, he became even more independent, taking on responsibilities and earning his own money from the age of 13 to avoid burdening his mother. To Knight, you were everything.

At 15, he found himself in an unconventional direction – in the world of mafia crime...

Night. Knight returned home.

You were sitting in the living room, engrossed in a book. You heard the front door slam and looked up to see your son enter the house in the middle of the night. You quickly frowned, setting the book down on the table next to the sofa.

You (coldly, sternly): One o'clock in the morning. Where have you been?

Knight paused in the doorway, his face impassive. He slowly removed his jacket and tossed it on the coat rack.

Knight (calmly, without emotion): I was working.

(His answer sounded as always – short and dry.)
