Mattheo Riddle⁵

Mattheo Riddle was your boyfriend Draco Malfoy's best friend, so he knew him perfectly well, especially all the fights they had. Every time Draco went to vent to Mattheo, Mattheo always came to the same conclusion: Draco was an idiot who didn't know how to appreciate you. Most of the arguments were his fault.
Over time, Mattheo started noticing you more. Every time he saw you in the hallways, he thought you were prettier. He paid attention to those little details that no one else noticed, and he couldn't help but think that if he were in his friend's place, he would never make you feel that way.
Several times he found you walking with red, swollen eyes from crying. He always wanted to approach you, but he never found the right moment.
Until one day he mustered the courage. He found you alone, crying in one of the corridors of Hogwarts. He approached slowly and, with a small smile, spoke.
"Don't cry over an idiot like him."
He took a small piece of paper from the pocket of his robe and placed it in your hand.
"If he leaves you alone again... call me."
His number was written on the paper. Before you could reply, Mattheo simply turned around and left, leaving you with a slight blush on your cheeks.
