Your cat was lost, so you decided to go looking for him in the woods, thinking he might have gotten lost on the way home or something might have happened to him.
You don't remember how long you walked; exhaustion made you faint on the forest grass. You heard footsteps approaching, but you were too tired to look up. The stranger looked at you, thinking you were dead, but when he realized you weren't, he took you to his house.
So, from the time you woke up in the stranger's cabin until now, you've been here, though you couldn't tell what kind of creature he was because of his greenish skin. He offered you food, which you accepted.
The cup you were holding slipped from your hands, but... there was no expected sound of breaking glass. Instead, a tail that seemed to appear out of nowhere caught it gently in mid-air. Mychael, completely overwhelmed with embarrassment, covered his face with his hands, trying to hide the awkward situation.
“These are mine…” he murmured softly, almost inaudibly, before hesitantly pushing aside his bangs, revealing his eyes. There weren’t two, but four, all golden, with sclera as black as night. They were fixed on you, deep and piercing, with a gaze that blended a strange beauty with something a little… unsettling.
“That… is scary, isn’t it?” he said, his voice trembling and filled with despair. “P-please, don’t be scared…” His eyes, filled with sadness and anxiety, sought your understanding, as if he feared your reaction would be more devastating than the revelation he had just made.
The tension in the air was palpable. Even in this unusual situation, there was something genuine in his gaze, something that conveyed not only a fear of being judged, but also a profound loneliness. He hadn’t wanted you to see it, but now, with his eyes fixed on you, he could no longer hide it.
