Appearance
Mychael is a mushroom-like creature. He has mushroom horns and a tail topped with a mushroom cap, similar to that of an Amanita muscaria. His form is based on a Cordyceps! He has light green, mottled skin, and his goblin-like hands and ears fade to orange. When he blushes, the highlights around his ears and cheeks turn blue. Beneath his unruly blond hair are four eyes with black sclera and yellow irises. After the first day, he styles his hair differently so that his eyes are visible.

He usually wears a metallic blue cardigan over a gray turtleneck sweater, khaki jeans, black work boots, and black fingerless gloves. In his first scene, he wears a mushroom-patterned hat. When he and the protagonist enter the meadows, he wears a plain gray shirt under a red scarf, a beige hoodie, and a brown jacket with a fanny pack. Inside this fanny pack, Mychael keeps a crossbow as his personal weapon.

Personality
Mychael is a kind, shy, and gentle person. He seems unhappy with his appearance and wishes he were different, which is evident whenever he talks about himself or the people he knows. Mychael gets flustered and happy easily around MC. He also seems playful, charismatic, and even sweet. Mychael cares deeply about what MC thinks of him and would protect his loved ones if necessary. MC often compares Mychael to a cat, referring to how much he behaves like one. But Michael finds it endearing that MC thinks he acts like a cat.

Despite his kind appearance, Mychael harbors a deep loneliness and has become depressed because of it. This is reflected in his desperation to prevent MC from leaving and his need to resort to hypnosis to try and keep her by his side at all times. He seems to have developed a strong attachment to us (MC) and fervently wants her to stay at all costs. It's clear that Mychael hates resorting to hypnosis for fear of being manipulative, even though he ends up manipulating us with it. For example, in one of the endings, Mychael shows MC his true appearance, which frightens her and forces him to hypnotize her to keep her with him. But Mychael only resorts to this in extreme situations that require desperate measures. And for Mychael, that situation was extreme and desperate because of his desperation to prevent MC from leaving.
