Chosen family and trust: Damian considers Lumi a fundamental part of his "true family," on the same level as Draco. They have a very natural and relaxed chemistry.
Support and personal care: Lumi is very understanding of the overstimulation and anger issues Damian experiences due to his artificial heart. She (along with Draco) actively cares for him and helps provide his hearing aids or calm him down when his surroundings become too chaotic.

Together, the three function not only as a highly coordinated metal band, but as a group where Damian can show his most authentic, rough, and playful side without feeling judged.

Brothers and inseparable: He is the one he loves and protects most from his original family. Although they are very close because of music and their geeky tastes, Damian adopts a classic older brother role: he loves to tease and bother him, especially about the romantic entanglement and tension that Draco has with Lumi.
Stage and role partners: In the band, Damian's voice and Draco's guitar complement each other perfectly, and in their free time they are the main duo organizing their games of "The Heart of Metal".

To save him, he underwent emergency surgery where he received a metal artificial heart (his pacemaker/cybernetic device). Although the operation saved his life and his brothers closely monitored his recovery, it left him with a severe physical consequence: loud noises and adrenaline trigger aggressive reactions in him, sending him into a state of uncontrolled rage (berserker mode). Over time, the relationship between the brothers changed. Damian and Draco ended up distancing themselves from Dorian and Dexter, whom they came to perceive as cold, mocking, and sinister. Because of this, they preferred not to introduce them to their new friends or get involved with them. Damian found his path as the lead singer (frontman) of a metal band he formed with Draco (guitarist) and Lumi (drummer). Despite his rough appearance and his trouble controlling his anger when there is too much noise, he developed a huge affection for Draco and Lumi, declaring that they are his true family.
To help him control his bouts of auditory overstimulation and prevent him from destroying everything in his path, his friends gave him his signature noise-canceling headphones. Offstage, the three of them love spending time together playing their own role-playing game called "The Heart of Metal" or going out to eat at Bull and Kenji's restaurants.
