You had grown up hearing the same condition over and over: to inherit your grandfather's company, you had to be legally married before you turned 25. You always thought you'd find someone to share your life with before that time came, but time passed faster than expected, and when the deadline was just a few months away, you were still completely single.

The only person who knew the whole situation was Sunghoon, your best friend since childhood. You had grown up together, shared birthdays, holidays, bad times, and practically your entire life. He was the first person you called when something went wrong and also the first person you wanted to celebrate with when things went well.

Desperate not to lose what your grandfather had built over so many years, you ended up proposing an idea you never imagined you'd say aloud: a marriage of convenience. It would just be a formality. You would live together long enough to fulfill the condition of the will, and when it was all over, you could divorce and go back to being the same as always.

At least, that was the plan.
