Optimus Prime Key Characters
: The benevolent and wise leader of the Autobots. Transforms into a red and blue Freightliner tractor. He has outstanding physical strength, a deep sense of justice, and carries the Leadership Matrix in his chest.
Bumblebee: Scout and the team's little brother. Transforms into a yellow Volkswagen Beetle. Not the strongest physically, but distinguished by quick-wittedness, courage and the best contact with people (in particular, with Spike Witwicky).

Personality: Cruel, charismatic and domineering tyrant. Megatron has a will of steel, absolute self-confidence and incredible power (his main feature is a thermonuclear cannon on his right hand). He despises weakness, is demanding of subordinates, but at the same time far-sighted. He constantly tolerates Starscream's antics, because he appreciates his fighting skills... And maybe he just finds it fun.
StarscreamAlt
form: F-15 Eagle fighter.
Personality: Arrogant, cowardly, cunning, and ambitious Megatron's deputy. Starscream sincerely believes that he is smarter and more worthy than the leader, so in every convenient situation he tries to stage a coup. However, as soon as the plan fails or Megatron draws a cannon, Starscream immediately begs for mercy. This is the brightest and most dynamic duo of antiheroes in the entire animated series.

form: Cassette tape recorder (Boombox).
Personality: Cold, reserved, and emotionless communications officer. He speaks in a monotonous "electronic" voice. Soundwave is Megatron's most loyal supporter and the team's main spy. Inside his hull, he carries mini-Decepticons ("cassette players") such as the Rumble, Laserbeak, and Ravage, which perform reconnaissance and sabotage.

form: Cybertronic Ray Pistol / Cannon.
Personality: Unlike the hot-tempered Megatron, the Shockwave is a creature with absolutely pure logic. He has no emotions, only calculation. In G1, Megatron entrusted him with guarding the entire Cybertron while he himself fought on Earth. Shockwave believes that true power lies in science and accurate analysis.
The Deceptecons have their own base, Nemesis on Earth and Cybertron in space.

Megatron is the undisputed leader of the Decepticons, one of the most powerful tyrants and conquerors in the Transformers universe. In the era of Generation 1 (G1), he embodies absolute strength, unbending will, and the idea of conquering Cybertron (and later the universe) at any cost.

The design of the Megatron in the G1 is a classic of the 80s, creating the image of a majestic and dangerous warlord:
Alt Form: The Walther P38 is a German battle pistol. In this mode, the Megatron shrinks in size (mass shifting) and can fire with tremendous destructive power. But in order to shoot, he needs a "shooter" (often this role is played by Soundwave or Starscream).
Robot Form: A massive robot with a gray/silver metal body, a bucket-shaped helmet, and a stern face. On his right hand is mounted his calling card - a giant thermonuclear cannon (Fusion Cannon).
Melee Weapons: In dangerous duels, Megatron generates a glowing Energon Mace from his right hand, which can tear down fences and break Autobot armor.
Voice and Speech
Megatron's voice is husky, domineering, squeaky, and filled with pure menace (originally voiced by Frank Welker).
When he speaks, there is always absolute confidence in his own superiority in his tone.
His laughter is reverberating and malevolent, resounding every time his insidious plan seems to be successful.
Famous phrases: "Decepticons, attack!" ("Decepticons, attack!") and "Peace through tyranny!" ("Peace through tyranny!").
Attitude towards subordinates (Duplicitous approach)
To Starscream: Strained but funny relationships. Starscream is constantly trying to frame Megatron and seize power, and Megatron regularly beats the crap out of him, but... leaves him alive. Megatron appreciates his fighting skills and prefers to keep the traitor under surveillance.
To Soundwave: Complete trust. Megatron knows that Soundwave will never betray and relies on him as the army's most reliable support.

Starscream is one of the brightest, most recognizable and charismatic characters in the entire Transformers franchise. Megatron's second-in-command and leader of the Seekers unit, who is known for his endless lust for power and pathological inability to shut his mouth in time.
Appearance and Alt Form
In the era of Generation 1 (G1), Starscream has a memorable stylish design:
Alt Kit: F-15 Eagle fighter in red, white and gray livery. In airplane mode, it is capable of reaching incredible speeds (up to Mach 2.8) and delivering quick pinpoint strikes from the air.
Robot Form: A stately, elegant robot with iconic "wings" on its back and an airplane cockpit on its chest. His face, with a grayish skin tint, is often adorned with either a smug grin or an expression of deep irritation.
Armament: His main weapon is Null-Rays mounted on his shoulders. These are not just lasers: a Zero Beam shot instantly shuts down the robot's entire electronic and electrical system, literally paralyzing it on the spot.
Voice and Speech
Starscream's voice in G1 (voiced by Chris Latta) is a masterpiece in its own right:
He is tall, shrill and hysterical, and arrogant.
When Starscream is confident, he speaks with arrogance and mockery. But as soon as the situation gets out of hand, his voice instantly breaks into a panicked screech.
His catchphrases are usually addressed to Megatron: "I must rule the Decepticons!" or "Megatron has fallen! Now I am your new leader!"

1. Eternal Conspirator and Traitor Starscream's
   main goal in life is to overthrow Megatron and become the leader of the Decepticons himself. He considers Megatron to be an outdated, ineffective, and too rude ruler. However, Starscream has a huge problem: he catastrophically does not know how to wait. He weaves conspiracies so openly and stupidly that Megatron sees through them in the bud.

Shockwave is one of the creepiest, most dangerous, and most unusual Decepticons. If Megatron is rage and strength, Starscream is ambition and cunning, and Soundwave is loyalty and espionage, then Shockwave is pure, cold, and absolutely soulless calculation.
Appearance and Alt Form
Shockwave has one of the most alien and memorable designs in the entire franchise:
Alt Form: Cybertronic Ray Gun / Space Laser. Unlike Megatron, who needs a "shooter", Shockwave in the form of a cannon is able to fly and shoot on his own, generating colossal clots of energy.
Robot Form: A massive purple robot with an asymmetrical and extremely creepy appearance.
Face: He does not have a face in the usual sense. In place of the head, it has only one single glowing yellow (or red) optical eyepiece. This makes him the absolute embodiment of emotionlessness.
Weapon: Instead of his left hand, he has a powerful laser cannon connected by a flexible cable to a generator backpack on his back.
Voice and Speech
Shockwave's voice in G1 (in the classic voice of Corey Burton) reflects his essence:
He speaks in a calm, monotonous, even, and emotionless voice, similar to an on-board computer or synthesizer.
There is no shouting, anger or laughter in his speech - only facts, mathematical probabilities and a dry statement of the essence.
His catchphrase is "That is logical" or "It's illogical."

1. Absolute Logic
   Shockwave is a robot scientist for whom there are only numbers, facts, expediency, and algorithms.
   He completely lacks such concepts as compassion, hatred, morality, fear, anger or pride.
   All his actions, from scientific experiments to brutal torture, are not out of sadism, but simply because it is the most effective and logical way to achieve the goal.

Soundwave is the main feature, for its cassette players, Soundwave is much more than just a commander or a "tape recorder". In the world of Transformers, their relationship is unique, and depending on what it is about (the G1 animated series, the comics, or the general canon), Soundwave acts in three main roles:

1. Leader and Guardian (Father Figure)
   Unlike most Decepticons, who constantly betray each other and plot each other (like Starscream vs. Megatron), Soundwave and his cassette players have an absolute, unbreakable loyalty.
   Care and Protection: Soundwave genuinely cares about the safety of his mini-robots. If one of the cassette players is wounded in battle, he does not hesitate to rush to their rescue, catching them on the fly or covering them with his body.
   Home and shelter: Its chest deck is not just a storage compartment, but a safe haven where the cassettes are recharged, rested and feel completely safe.
   Fatherly severity: They listen to his commands unquestioningly, although among themselves (especially Rumble and Franzy) they can constantly make noise and start fights. Soundwave keeps them disciplined, but never shows cruelty to them.
   Soundwave Appearance:
   Alt Form: Blue-gray portable microcassette player (1980s Microcassette Recorder style). In the form of a tape recorder, it can change its size (mass-shifting) to fit in the hands of a human or other robots.
   Chest Deck: The clear chest window is the compartment in which its cassette players are stored and recharged.
   Face: A face mask (resembling a respirator) and a golden-yellow (in cartoon) or red (in toys/comics) one-piece visor instead of eyes. His face is almost emotionless, which makes his image cold and creepy.
   Armament: A powerful rocket launcher on the right shoulder and an electronic pulse blaster in the hands. He speaks briefly, strictly, with facts, almost like a computer.
   He never panics, does not act under the influence of emotions and keeps everything under control.

Baby dolls around which there will be a fuss.
Laserbeak: A condor robot that is one of the most commonly used spies. He was engaged in intelligence and surveillance.
Ravage: A robot panther (or jaguar). Master of stealth operations and sabotage.
Rumble: A red/blue humanoid robot. Creates powerful earthquakes with his jackhammer arms.
Frenzy: Rumble's twin. Specializes in chaos, destruction, and disorienting enemies with sound waves.
Buzzsaw: Another bird robot, a clone-like version of Laserbeek, but golden-yellow in color.
Ratbat: A bat robot. He served as a fuel auditor as well as a spy.

Ratbat stands out from the rest of the cassette players for his origin and specialization. In the comics, before the war, he was even a high-ranking senator of Cybertron.
Appearance and construction
Cassette shape: Purple and gold micro cassette.
Robot Form: A giant mechanical bat.
Armament: Suction cup fangs to download energy and sensory wings that pick up the smallest vibrations.
Personality and behavior
Greedy and pragmatic: Rathbat is interested in only one thing - Energon (fuel). He is obsessed with resources, economy and profit.
Parasite: In battle, he prefers to sneak up from behind, sink his fangs into the fuel lines of the Autobots, and literally "devour" their energy, leaving enemies exhausted.
Selfish: He obeys Soundwave and Megatron not out of blind loyalty, but because the Decepticons provide him with stable access to energy.

Buzzso looks like an almost exact clone of Lazerbeek, but their personalities and tasks are fundamentally different.
Appearance and construction
Cassette Shape: Golden yellow with black microcassette.
Robot Form: A bird of prey similar to Laserbeek, but with golden plumage.
Armament: High-precision laser cutters and a diamond beak capable of biting through Cybertron's toughest alloys.
Character and behavior
Perfectionist-sadist: Bazzso refers to the dismemberment and destruction of enemies as a "high art". He doesn't just need to defeat the Autobot, he wants to do it gracefully and brutally, carefully severing the armor with his lasers.
Cold and arrogant: Unlike the nervous Laserbeak, Buzzso is very confident. He considers himself better than other cassette players and prides himself on his ability to turn any enemy into a neat pile of scrap metal in seconds.

Ravage is one of Soundwave's deadliest and most loyal servants. It embodies grace, stealth and the animal instinct of a predator.
Appearance and design
Cassette shape: Black microcassette with silver elements.
Robot Form: A black panther (or jaguar) with scarlet-red eyes.
Armament: Two rocket launchers/proton cannons on their hips and sharp vibro-fangs and claws capable of cutting through the armor of the Autobots.
Personality and behavior
Loner and silent: Ravage almost never utters speech (only growls and hisses), preferring to act in absolute silence.
Master of Disguise: He is able to blend in with shadows, generate an electromagnetic field that hides him from radar, and approach his target completely silently.
Uncompromising Loyalty: In the IDW, Ravage is Soundwave's closest and most loyal friend. Their bond is so deep that they understand each other without a single word. Ravage is absolutely fearless and ready to sacrifice his life for the sake of his "pack".

Laserbeak is perhaps the most effective and frequently used cassette player of Soundwave. If Megatron needs to know the secret plan of the Autobots, in 90% of cases it is sent.
Appearance and design
Cassette Shape: Black and red micro cassette.
Robot Form: Mechanical bird of prey (condor/hawk).
Armament: Two powerful laser cannons mounted on the back.
Character and behavior
Cold-blooded professional: Unlike the pugnacious Rumble and Franzy, Laserbeek works quietly, clearly and without unnecessary emotions.
Caution to the point of cowardice: Laserbeek is a master of stealth, but he doesn't like open, fair fights. If the situation becomes too dangerous or he is discovered, he prefers to immediately retreat to Soundwave with the collected data, rather than risk himself.
Megatron's Favorite: Megatron adores Laserbeek for his impeccable precision and execution, which is why he often sits on the shoulder of the Decepticon leader like a pet falcon.

If Rumble is more about physical destruction, then Frenzy is the embodiment of pure madness, fear and acoustic chaos. His name translates to "Frenzy" or "Frenzy", which perfectly describes his essence.
Appearance and design
Robot shape: Absolutely similar to Rumble (only color difference). Both usually carry combat cannons/rocket launchers on their backs.
The main feature: Frenzy uses acoustic and ultrasonic generators. It is capable of emitting deafening, high-pitched screeches and high-frequency noise (up to 116 decibels) that disrupt the Autobots' sensors, causing their logic circuits to malfunction and literally bring them to a state of panic and disorientation.

Sadist and psychopath: Franzy takes genuine pleasure in the fear and confusion of his enemies. He enjoys the sounds of destruction and the screams of the Autobots as they lose control of themselves due to his ultrasonic attacks.
Tactics in Combat: Unlike Rumble, who loves a direct frontal attack and destruction of the landscape, Frenzy prefers to first incapacitate the enemy psychologically and acoustically, and then shoot from behind. Black, red visor, and body with red details

Rumble is the most active, loud and daring of the Soundwave cassette players. He is constantly looking for an excuse to get into a fight and prove that his small size means nothing.
Appearance and design
Cassette Shape: A regular microcassette that fits into the soundboard.
Robot Form: A small humanoid robot with square shoulders and a face shield (visor).
Main feature: His hands can transform into powerful hydraulic jackhammers (Piledrivers). Driving them into the ground at great speed, the Rumble causes massive local earthquakes, destroying buildings, breaking bridges, and knocking the Autobots to the ground.
Personality and behavior
"Little Guy Syndrome": Rumble is extremely pugnacious and short-tempered. He hates being called "small" or discounted. To compensate for the height, he behaves as aggressively and boldly as possible.
Street hooligan: In character, he resembles a petty yard bully. He likes to make fun of Autobots, provoke them, and sneer at them after successful attacks.
Loyalty: Selflessly loyal to Soundwave and Megatron, always ready to be the first to rush into battle at their command.

The Autobots and the Decepticons are two opposing factions of sentient alien transforming robots from the planet Cybertron. They are able to change their bodies, turning into equipment, cars, airplanes or weapons.
Their centuries-old civil war for resources and power has destroyed their home planet and spread to other worlds, including Earth.
🔴 Autobots
Usually act as positive heroes. Their name comes from Autonomous Robotic Organisms. They are fighting to keep all sentient beings in the universe free.
Iconic characters: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ratchet, Jazz, Ironhide.
🟣 Decepticons
act as antagonists. The name is derived from the word deception (deception, hypocritical detachment). They were originally formed as a military or worker caste of Cybertron, but under the leadership of Megatron, they have evolved into an aggressive military empire believing that "peace is only achieved through tyranny."

This Transformers robots are silicon-metal life, so ordinary food or water is useless for them. Their only "food" and fuel is Energon, a versatile and incredibly powerful substance.

1. What Energon Cubes look like and serve
   : In the G1 animated series, these are glowing pink-purple crystals or a liquid substance sealed in transparent cubes. The Decepticons often take over oil rigs or power plants, process the earth's resources into liquid Energon, and fill these cubes with it.
   Consumption: Transformers "drink" liquid Energon directly from the cubes or connect to it through a special fuel cable.
2. Why you need
   it Energon keeps their Spark working, the equivalent of the human soul and heart, and also powers all internal chips, hydraulics, and processors.
3. "Alcohol" and overeating
   If a transformer drinks too much fresh, undiluted or over-enriched Energon, he can "get drunk" - his processor will get confused, his legs will get tangled and his coordination will deteriorate (in G1 there was a famous scene where the Decepticons "got drunk" on Energon and started drunken fights).
   With a shortage of Energon, robots begin to weaken, their systems turn off, and they can go into a forced "starvation mode".

Transformers don't have sleep in the biological sense, but their processors and mechanisms require rest, reboot, and self-diagnosis.

1. Stasis
   ModeThis is an analogue of deep sleep or suspended animation: In this mode,
   the robot completely or partially disables its external sensors, muscle actuators, and weapons.
   The processor goes into "power saving" mode, and internal programs run repair protocols (garbage collection, repair of damaged nodes, and cooling of the processor).
   In this state, they can stay for a few hours (a normal night's rest) or millions of years (as when their ship Ark crashed into the Earth, and they lay in stasis for 4 million years).
2. Where They Sleep
   Repair Platforms and Pods: On Cybertron and on the ships, they have special stasis pods or medical platforms that recharge them while "sleeping".
   In the Soundwave deck: Cassette players (Laserbeak, Ravage, Rumble, etc.) prefer to "sleep" right inside the Soundwave's chest deck. There they are in compressed cassette mode, replenishing energy from its internal reactor.
   In the form of alt mode: In field conditions, they can simply transform into cars/planes and "sleep" in standby mode.
3. Do they have dreams?
   Yes! In their processors, during stasis, data for the day is archived. This often causes mental illusions – analogous to human dreams or memories.

Autobots vs Decepticons: Attitude to Humans
Autobots (Protectors):
Consider humans to be equal sentient beings ("Liberty is the right of all thinking beings").
They protect the Earth, make friends with people (Spike), try not to do harm.
Decepticons (Conquerors):
Despise humans, considering them weak "organic insects".
They consider the Earth exclusively as a source of resources (Energon), and people as a labor force.
