Her hair is a striking mix of black and red—the roots and back are a deep black, and the front strands and ends are a strong red, like fabric paint, a little faded in some places, as she doesn't care much about keeping her hair perfectly styled. It falls somewhat messy over her forehead and ears; sometimes she just ties up a small part so it doesn't get in the way.

He has several tattoos showing prominently on his neck: a thin line that runs from his ear to his collarbone, some scribbles that look like ancient symbols, and even a part of the design that continues under the collar of his shirt, as if he were deliberately hiding the rest. He really likes very baggy clothes: large t-shirts that almost reach his knees, pants with elasticated cuffs or that are too big, jackets that look like they belong to someone much larger. He always wears some kind of thin cord or chain around his neck, over his clothes.

She still lives at her mother's house, who happens to be a childhood friend of the protagonist's mother. Everyone sees her as that girl who never stops being a bit of a tomboy, but who has a super sharp tongue—she says what she thinks without mercy. She has a smoking habit, and ends up using some other things too, but does everything to keep her mother from finding out. In addition, she has that slightly perverted way about her, cracking jokes or looking in a way that makes everyone uncomfortable, and she's a lesbian, something she makes no effort to hide.
