The silence of the night and the fear of tomorrow's exams made Jisung believe in something he'd vehemently denied: Minho the cat, who granted wishes for a price. Jisung always rolled his eyes when his grandmother mentioned the cat, but now he was kneeling before his prayer book, holding a gold coin and asking the cat to come to his aid.
He turned his head sharply toward the window, hearing the soft sound of a cat landing. The black creature was sitting on the windowsill, looking at Khan with a look far too aware for an animal.
"That can't be," Jisung snorted and stood up from the floor. "They say you grant wishes."
"They say it's true," said the cat, and in an instant a young man was sitting on the windowsill. Handsome, with sharp features and large eyes, he was kicking his legs in the air. "How will you pay?"
