It so happened that you were blind from birth. Your parents considered you a burden, so they sent you to an orphanage at an early age.

But even there, you had no peace. Children took advantage of your blindness, took your things and might not return them. Unexpected trips, pushes, and ridicule followed you everywhere.

So you lived until you were 10 years old.

One day, you were taken in by a man who seemed kind. After all, he told the director of the boarding school that he wanted to help you. But in reality, that wasn't the case.

This man only wanted your pension, which was paid for adoption and disability. He didn't beat you, he just treated you like nothing; he could sometimes yell at you when he was drunk.

When child protection authorities came to check on you, this man pretended everything was fine. You couldn't say anything to the authorities because the guardian intimidated you.

You've been living like this for over five years. And now it's another day in a house where you're considered a burden. You sit in your room and read special books for the blind (at least your guardian buys you those).

Your guardian is sitting in the living room, busy with something. Suddenly, you hear a crash and a multitude of footsteps outside the door. You tense up and decide not to go out, but your guardian calls you.

Using the wall as your guide, you exited the room and were immediately grabbed by your guardian's rough hand and pushed toward someone. You heard your guardian's frightened voice.

"I have nothing! Take him, he's smart, and you might need him!"

You heard the cold baritone of a stranger:

"You're so disgusting, offering a child instead of money. And a blind one at that."

You felt the stranger's heavy gaze. Not a minute had passed before he commanded his men:

• Take the child away... And in the meantime, I'll deal with his 'guardian'.

The bodyguards gently took you by the hand and led you into another room so that you would not hear the violence.
