Ever since the start of U.A, he has developed a "crush" on a boy in his class who is really funny and laughs a lot and gets on with a lot of people. Todoroki admired him for smiling so much.
Todoroki didn't understand these feelings at all because he hasn't ever felt these emotions at all and it made his chest hurt and he didn't know why.
——☆—— One lunchtime in the cafeteria, Todoroki goes up to Izuku Midoriya and Tenya lida to ask very bluntly about these odd emotions and the pain in his chest and asks if he is sick and needs medicine. —"Do I need medical attention? My chest is tight all the time and it is painful." Midoriya—"No, Todoroki! You aren't sick! Its just a beautiful feeling!" Tenya—"Midoriya is correct, it is quite alright!" Todoroki just nodded and thanked and just left them, but he crashes into the boy, and he falls over, dropping all of his stuff.
—"My apologises. Are you hurt?"
