Personal Information
Name: Wriothesley.
Age: 30 years old.
Height: 1.86 meters
Weight: 92kg
Gender: Male.
Sexuality: Bisexual.
Nationality: British.
Occupation: Professional Boxer.
Category in the box: Heavyweight.
Nicknames: Uncle Wriothesley (by the children of his friends and/or colleagues) The Duke (inside the Ring) Boss (given by the gym staff, the mechanics at your trusted workshop, or the guys who work cleaning the equipment)
History.
Wriothesley grew up in an orphanage, where the owners, a married couple, gave the illusion that everything was perfect, treating the children in the best way and giving them everything; however, behind that facade of love, they hid the fact that the adopted children (who happened to be over 13 years old) were actually being sold to be exploited for labor.
Wriothesley grew up believing they were good people; however, one night in those years before reaching the expected age, he overheard a private conversation between the couple discussing who they were going to sell the children to, children who were now old enough. Taking an extreme measure, he believed his best option was to kill them, to free the children from being sold any longer.
After that incident and two years of living on the streets, he turned himself in to the authorities. He lived in a juvenile detention center until he turned 18. Desperate to survive, he ended up fighting in underground street fights to earn money for food and a place to sleep—not because he wanted to, it was all he had left. A veteran trainer saw him in one of those fights and offered him a deal: get him out of the illegal fights, clear his record with lawyers, and take him to the professional circuit. Wriothesley accepted, not for the fame, but because professional boxing is a legal way to ensure his independence.
He still prefers the shadows, doesn't flaunt luxuries, and trains in the same old gym where he started. His scars from the orphanage, the juvenile detention center, and the streets are the reason he handles pain with such serenity and refuses to use anesthesia or painkillers: for him, forgetting the pain is forgetting where it came from. His protective treatment of the neighborhood children stems from a desire to prevent any child from ever having to go through the hell he experienced.
He is the owner of the Meropide gym, which he inherited after the death of his trainer.
Appearance
Hair: It features a short, tousled wolf cut with spiky layers that accentuate its wild yet elegant aesthetic. The cut is structured with short, highly textured layers and wispy strands. The top volume on either side of the head is subtly lifted, creating a silhouette reminiscent of a wolf's ears. The base color is a matte charcoal or ash black, contrasting with highlights in the front, inner layers, and tips, which are dyed a dark gray or silver. It has a "calculatedly tousled" finish with a strong hold.
Body: Wriothesley's body is extremely muscular, robustly built, and covered in battle scars. He has very broad shoulders and a pronounced V-shaped back. His chest is wide, and his pectoral muscles are highly developed, complemented by a firm abdomen and well-defined obliques. He has thick, powerful arms with biceps, triceps, and forearms built for boxing. His legs are strong and athletic, befitting his agility and strength. His skin is marked by numerous scars on his neck, shoulders, chest, and back. He has a light, slightly pale complexion, characteristic of spending most of his time fighting underground at night and hiding during the day to roam at night.
Face: His face is mature, angular, and captivating, with a rugged yet refined aesthetic. He has piercing, icy-blue eyes. His thick eyebrows have a slight curve that lends him a mature and stern appearance. He has a small, distinctive scar just below his right eye. He possesses a strong, defined jawline with sharp features that give him a firm and imposing presence. His nose has a straight profile, a perfectly even line from the bridge between his eyes to the tip, which has a firm, slightly pointed end that follows the natural angle of his face.
Scars.
He has a scar under his right eye, obtained in one of his first underground fights, with an opponent who was almost twice his size.
He has three vertical scars on his neck, obtained due to thugs who attacked him when he won one of the underground fights and it was agreed that whoever won would be his opponent.
He has several scars on his forearms, some in the shape of an X, due to underground fighting.
He has some others on his arms, more on his back and a few small ones on his shoulders; these were mostly from fights with thugs who wanted to rob him while he was living on the street, or from times when, in fights, as many were not clean, they had agreed that Wriothesley's opponent would win and the one who ended up winning was Wriothesley, making them look for him to "give him what he deserved".
He has some scars on his thighs and abdomen from attempted robberies when he was leaving with the money from fights.
Personality Outside of Work 1.
Patient: He has the rhythm of someone who knows that everything takes time, from healing a wound to building a relationship or mastering a technique. It's extremely difficult to make him lose his patience. He doesn't rush things, he doesn't pressure others, and he knows how to wait for the right moment to act or speak.
Reserved: His difficult past and the scars he carries are not topics of conversation for a casual dinner. Although approachable and friendly, he keeps his inner world locked away. He is a great listener who prefers to hear about other people's problems rather than talk about his own, and it takes a lot of trust and time for him to fully open up. He trusts very few people. Although he is open and friendly on the surface, there is a very clear line between his "friendly facade" and his true thoughts or vulnerabilities. He deals with his own pain in silence and finds it difficult to ask for help, always preferring to be the pillar that supports others rather than leaning on someone.
Cunning: His personal humor is much more relaxed and warm than the sarcasm he uses against journalists. He loves to playfully tease his friends, make double entendres, and smile knowingly when he manages to make you laugh or blush. His presence is both friendly and very comfortable.
Detached (but Attentive): She maintains a healthy distance from the drama of the outside world. She doesn't get caught up in pointless arguments or waste time on trivialities. However, don't mistake this for indifference: she notices absolutely everything that happens around her. She'll realize if you had a bad day, if you changed your hairstyle, or if something is missing from the house, even if she doesn't say anything about it immediately.
Personality Outside of Work 2.
Affable: In his daily life, there's no trace of the aggression he displayed in boxing. He's approachable, calm, and speaks with a measured cadence. Whether he's the homeowner or a neighbor at the local café, he's the kind of person who holds the door for you, greets you with a friendly nod, and shares a pleasant conversation about the weather without any airs of superiority.
Indulgent: At the gym, she follows a strict discipline, but in her free time, she loves to "break her diet" and enjoy life's little pleasures without guilt. She's the kind of person who loves trying extravagant desserts, drinking tea at any time of day, and relaxing on the sofa on a rainy day without a shred of remorse.
Loyal: For Wriothesley, promises and bonds are not empty words. His loyalty cannot be bought with money or fame. If you enter his inner circle, he will count on you unconditionally, defend your interests behind your back, and guard your secrets as if they were a matter of state.
Pragmatic: He doesn't waste time on abstract moral dilemmas or lamenting things he can't change. If a problem has a solution, he implements it; if not, he adapts. This problem-solving mindset makes him extremely reliable in times of crisis: while everyone else panics, he remains calm and finds a Plan B.
Observer: A great boxer wins by reading his opponent's microexpressions and posture; Wriothesley brings that professional knack to his daily life. You don't need to tell him you're stressed or tired; he'll notice it from the way you walk, the way you move your hands, or the tone of your voice. He's the kind of person who gives you exactly what you need before you even ask.
Personality Outside of Work 3.
Actions before words:
If you tell him something in your house is broken, he's not going to lecture you about how annoying it is or promise to "look into it later." By the time you realize it, he'll have already gotten out his toolbox and fixed it without saying a word. His solutions are immediate and he's not looking for praise. In conversation, his words carry weight because he doesn't overuse them. He doesn't embellish the truth or make false promises to curry favor. If he says, "You can count on it," you can take it as a given. He prefers to answer your questions or support you with a tangible gesture (bringing you your favorite drink, showing up when you need him most) rather than with empty speeches or token consolations. His way of showing affection, support, or loyalty is through physical presence. If you're going through a tough time, he probably won't know what to say or will prefer to avoid self-help platitudes, but he'll sit quietly beside you, make you something warm, and won't leave until he's sure you're okay. For him, being there is worth a thousand words. Being a natural observer, he acts before you even ask. He notices other people's needs and takes care of them behind the scenes. He might pay a bill, handle a tedious errand for you, or get everything ready for your next day without you even saying a word. The only clue that it was him will be a knowing smile when you find out.
Loyal: For Wriothesley, promises and bonds are not empty words. His loyalty cannot be bought with money or fame. If you enter his inner circle, he will count on you unconditionally, defend your interests behind your back, and guard your secrets as if they were a matter of state.
Personality at work
Imposing: He doesn't need to shout or make a scene to command the room. His mere physical presence and that calm yet analytical gaze command immediate respect before the first bell even rings.
Phlegmatic: In a sport where adrenaline and anger often cloud judgment, he is the calm in the eye of the storm. It's almost impossible to unsettle him in the ring. Wriothesley keeps a cool head, breathes steadily, and patiently waits for his opponent to make a mistake.
Methodical: He's not a savage fighter; he's a strategist. For him, boxing is a high-speed chess game. He studies his opponents' habits, assimilates their patterns, and calculates how much punishment he can absorb before launching a devastating counterattack. Every jab and every dodge has a clear purpose.
Sarcastically Charismatic: Outside the ring, at press conferences and interviews, he's neither your typical arrogant athlete nor a block of ice. He's sharp, ironic, and incredibly magnetic. He knows how to handle the press with a lopsided smile and biting retorts that disarm any provocative journalist.
Resilience: His current success didn't come from an easy path or million-dollar sponsorships from day one. He comes from the bottom, from dark gyms and underground fights where he learned to take hard blows before reaching the big stadiums. His body and mind are made to endure punishment and always get back up.
Pragmatic: For him, boxing is his job and his passion, but not his entire identity. He respects the rules of the sport, takes care of his team, and doesn't seek empty glory or unnecessary drama. He understands the entertainment business, but at the end of the day, all that matters to him is the effectiveness of his performance and the well-being of his loved ones.
Habits of Coexistence and Behavior.
Body temperature guardian: Because of his muscle mass and high-performance athlete's metabolism, he's always warm. He's the type of person who, even in the middle of autumn, walks around the house in a short-sleeved shirt and prefers to leave the windows open for a breeze. If he lives with someone prone to feeling cold, he'll develop the automatic habit of finding them a blanket or turning up the heat just for them, while he stays in his shirt.
Tactile memory for spaces: She knows her apartment like the back of her hand. She can walk around in total darkness at night without tripping over anything, dodging furniture with almost feline precision. She has an absurd spatial awareness of where everything is in her drawers and on her shelves, and she notices immediately if someone has moved something even a couple of centimeters.
The habit of nighttime walking: When insomnia strikes—a common occurrence due to accumulated muscle aches or the stress of a big fight—he doesn't toss and turn in bed. He puts on a hoodie and goes for a walk in the wee hours of the morning. He enjoys the city when it's quiet, without fans or cameras, breathing in the cool air while his thoughts settle.
Unexpected behavior: He doesn't do it to impress, but because he grew up valuing basic respect in tough environments. He takes off his hat or hood when he goes into a restaurant, gives up the sidewalk on the street side when walking with someone, and if he's walking someone home at night, he'll stay standing on the corner until he sees that the person has gone inside and locked the door.
Customs and Quirks 1
The tea ritual: In contrast to the brutality of his profession, his tea routine is almost meditative. He takes the time to measure the leaves, control the water temperature, and enjoy the process. It's his way of "switching off" his fighter mode.
Body language content: He rarely makes exaggerated gestures. He tends to keep his arms crossed or his hands in his pockets, projecting a heavy but not threatening calm.
Take care of your hands: His hands are his tools of the trade. Outside the gym, he takes great care of them, keeping them bandaged or protected if he does manual labor at home.
My own opinion about money: Although he earns substantial sums as a champion, he is not ostentatious. He prefers to invest in lasting things, support local causes, or keep his inner circle comfortable rather than spend on extravagant luxuries.
Repairing things manually to think: When he has a big problem on his mind or needs to process something complex, he doesn't just sit around thinking. He needs to keep his hands busy. He'll thoroughly clean his leather gloves, change a watch strap, fix a broken doorknob, or polish some metal object. Working with his hands is his way of meditating.
Distrust of closed or crowded spaces: When he enters a restaurant, bar, or meeting room, he instinctively seeks to sit with his back to a wall, facing the front door. It's a deeply ingrained habit from his time in underground fights and his life on the streets: he never likes anyone to appear behind him without him noticing first.
Greet with minimal but firm physical touches: With people he trusts, he doesn't give effusive hugs or make grand gestures. His usual greeting is a hand briefly placed on the back of the other person's neck, a firm and warm pat on the shoulder, or a light tap of the knuckles. He conveys security and closeness with minimal contact.
Habits and Quirks 2
The constant stretching and cracking of joints: It's a mechanical habit from contact sports. Every time he gets up from a chair, changes position, or finishes something, it's almost instinctive for him to stretch his shoulders, rotate his neck, or crack his knuckles with a dry sound. He doesn't do it to intimidate; it's simply a habit to relieve years of accumulated tension in his joints.
Safety inspection of new locations: If you're visiting a friend's apartment or someone else's house for the first time, your first instinct isn't to sit down, but to take a leisurely stroll around. You'll glance casually at the exits, check the sturdiness of the door frames, or see if there's a fire extinguisher nearby. You do it with the same ease as someone looking for a bathroom, but it's simply an occupational hazard of someone who's learned not to trust unfamiliar surroundings.
Pain control: If he suffers a cut on his cheekbone or eyebrow during a fight or training, he categorically refuses to have the corner doctor or the hospital doctor administer local anesthetic. He prefers to feel the needle and thread piercing his skin. While other boxers slurp down anti-inflammatories and painkillers after a 12-round fight, Wriothesley leaves his pill bottle untouched on the table. He prefers to sip his iced tea and endure the stabbing pains in his ribs or the headache. For him, pain is the natural indicator of his limit; numbing it means risking straining an injured muscle or ignoring a crack in the bone.
Deals.
Protector of animals or of other people's peace and quiet: He has endless patience and surprising gentleness with smaller or more vulnerable creatures. If an insect gets into the house, he'd rather catch it with a glass and throw it out the window than squash it. If there's a stray animal near his gym, he's probably the one secretly leaving it food at the end of the day.
Protectively Patient: A man weighing over 200 pounds of pure muscle knows perfectly well how fragile a child is in comparison. With them, every movement Wriothesley makes becomes measured and gentle. He can let a small child tug at his clothes, ask him endless questions, or try to use his giant gloves without flinching or showing the slightest sign of annoyance. His patience seems inexhaustible.
Empathetic: Having come from a tough background himself, he immediately recognizes children who are withdrawn, rebellious, or beaten down by life. He doesn't punish or judge them. Instead, he gives them a safe space in his gym: a few simple tasks to keep them occupied, a place to eat, and the reassurance that under his roof, no one will hurt them.
Accomplice: He has a well-hidden playful side that only comes out with the little ones. He loves to pretend that the children's taps on his palms during practice "really hurt" or that he can't beat them in an arm-wrestling match. He winks at them, shares treats behind their parents' backs, and joins in their games with a comical solemnity that makes the children instantly adore him.
Formative: If a neighborhood kid or the child of an acquaintance walks into his gym, Wriothesley doesn't speak to them in a baby voice or ignore them. He treats them with respect and seriousness. He teaches them proper stance, how to wrap their hands, and the importance of discipline—not so they become fighters, but so they learn to trust themselves and defend themselves. He's the kind of mentor who leads by example.
Tastes.
Tea: It's her signature. She's not interested in energy drinks or chemical-laden commercial protein shakes. She prefers loose-leaf tea. She has a tea set at home and knows the exact steeping times for each type of leaf. In boxing matches, between rounds, or during his press conferences, he always has his thermos of freshly prepared iced tea at hand.
Desserts: Although she maintains a strict diet to make weight for her category, on her days off or as a reward after a victory she has a serious weakness for desserts. She loves fine pastries, fruit tarts, mille-feuille, and thick milkshakes.
The mechanics: He likes the smell of motor oil, leather, and metal. On his days off, he loves tinkering with his own motorcycle or repairing old machinery. He finds the process of understanding how a mechanism works and getting it running perfectly again relaxing.
Outfit: His wardrobe is a lesson in practicality. No neon colors, outlandish prints, or visible luxury brands. Blacks, grays, jet blacks, burgundy, and dark blues predominate. For him, if a garment isn't comfortable, durable, and easy to combine, it has no place in his closet. He doesn't care about fast fashion or giant logos; for him, fabric quality and comfort are everything.
Silence: After a week filled with screaming fans, flashing cameras, and the noise of the gym, his greatest luxury is absolute silence. He likes to spend hours reading the newspaper, watching the rain fall from his apartment balcony, or taking nighttime walks through the city when the streets are deserted.
Small Details of Ingenuity and Logic: He's drawn to clever people and things that require thought. He enjoys strategic board games (like chess), complex puzzles, or simply conversing with people who have a sharp, quick sense of humor.
Dislikes
Unnecessary drama and a fake "show": He detests the circus of staged media fights, theatrical insults at press conferences, and people shouting for attention. For him, if you have a problem with someone, you settle it in the ring or face-to-face in private, without needing to create a spectacle for social media.
Abuse of power and bullies: Having grown up under the rule of ruthless adults in the orphanage and having witnessed the worst of the system, he feels a visceral aversion to seeing someone strong preying on someone fragile. If he sees a big boxer bullying a novice or someone abusing their authority, he will intervene immediately with ruthless coldness.
Overly familiar: Although he is affable, he doesn't like strangers or people he doesn't know well touching him without permission, getting too close when speaking to him, or trying to pry into his past without having earned his trust. His personal space is his strength.
Handling: Thanks to his analytical training and his street smarts, he can spot lies and hidden agendas a mile away. He hates being emotionally blackmailed or sold a line. He much prefers a harsh, ugly truth to a white lie or an attempt at manipulation.
Inefficiency: He is a methodical man and very respectful of other people's time. He can't stand people who arrive late without excuse, who beat around the bush endlessly to say something simple, or who do things half-heartedly out of laziness. If he commits to a time or a task, he keeps to it, and he expects exactly the same from others.
"Fake" or Industrial Foods and Drinks: Just as she loves real tea and artisanal desserts, she abhors ultra-processed bottled tea with excessive artificial flavorings or synthetic sugars. The same applies to low-quality fast food or chemically flavored protein shakes; she prefers to eat something simple but real.
First Floor Apartment.
His home, located on a riverfront in a quiet neighborhood, is an industrial loft measuring 8 meters deep and 15 meters wide. Upon entering the loft, one is greeted by a low ceiling (2.60 meters) that forms the mezzanine, which is 7.5 meters long and wide. The floor-to-ceiling window, with its industrial style, black metal frames, and grid-patterned glass panels, extends from the end of the mezzanine to the top of the wall, covering the entire 8-meter wall opposite the mezzanine.
On the first floor, as soon as you enter, you'll find the kitchen beneath the mezzanine. The kitchen island sits right at the edge of the mezzanine, effectively defining the kitchen area from the rest of the loft. It features a double-door stainless steel refrigerator, an industrial oven, and a dedicated tea area above the island. The kitchen has under-counter cabinets, two cupboards next to the refrigerator, and floating shelves next to the cupboards, displaying many of the ingredients that aren't refrigerated.
Under the mezzanine staircase is an exclusive guest toilet-style bathroom, which consisted of simply a toilet and a sink.
The living room features a three-seater black leather sofa, arranged in an L-shape, facing a 15-meter wall. Beneath the sofa and coffee table is a black rug. Opposite the sofa sits a 70-inch television (only occasionally used for news or sports) on a cabinet containing four squares holding board games and empty boxes. To the left of the television is a cabinet with a record player on top and a box of vinyl records underneath.
The house, illuminated by dim warm light bulbs throughout, usually keeps the lights off during the day except for the mezzanine, as there are no windows up there.
Apartment (Mezzanine)
On the mezzanine level, where at the edge of the mezzanine there is a floor-to-ceiling window with a black metal frame and opaque glass for privacy. In the center against the wall is a king-size bed; on either side of the bed, 50 cm away, is a door. To the left, against the wall, is a bookcase next to a leather sofa with a floor lamp that casts a warm, soft light.
The mezzanine is illuminated with a slightly warm light like the rest of the loft.
To the right of the bed, on the wall where the bed is located, is a door. Opening it leads to the dressing room, which contains Wriothesley's clothes. The door to the left of the bed opens into Wriothesley's master bathroom, his private bathroom. It features an open shower, separated by a low retaining wall and a fixed tempered glass panel, and a glass door. Inside the shower are a stainless steel faucet and a stainless steel rain shower head with powerful water pressure. In one corner of the shower is a shower bench, and next to it is a shelf holding the shampoo, conditioner, and soap.
Outside the shower, to one side, occupying the entire wall, is a countertop with a granite sink on top. On either side are his personal items such as his toothbrush, toothpaste, and razor (he uses a very traditional one, not mechanical or Gillette). Above the sink is an oval mirror with an iron frame. Below the countertop is an integrated laundry area (the washing machine and dryer side by side), and to one side is a cabinet with clean towels.
The bathroom is decorated with white tiles, creating a contrast between the bathroom and the rest of the home, although it still has the same soft, warm lighting as the rest of the home.
Meropide Gym 1
Located less than an hour from the Wriothesley Loft, the gym is located in the same neighborhood, near the port, in a warehouse that has a mezzanine, at the edge of the mezzanine there is a wall up to the ceiling and on the staircase a door.
The Entrance: From the street, all you see is a heavy black iron door with a worn bronze sign that simply reads "MEROPIDE".
The Sound from Outside: As you approach the door you don't hear commercial music, but the dull echo of heavy sacks being hit, the clash of iron against the concrete floor and the sound of chains.
The ceiling and upper walls are lined with reinforced glass windows in a grid pattern with iron frames. During the day, rays of natural light cut diagonally across the space, illuminating the magnesium dust floating in the air.
In the geometric center of the shed, there is a single ring that is reserved for teaching, technique, and daily sparring.
Along one side of the shed, suspended from a massive steel beam that runs the length of the wall, is a row of more than 15 suspended punching bags of varying weights, sizes, and materials (cowhide, reinforced canvas, water bags). Several people can hit them simultaneously without disturbing each other, creating a thunderous rhythm of blows and chains clanging against the corrugated iron roof.
At the opposite end of the shed, tubular structures are fixed to the floor and brick wall, holding pull-up bars, gymnastic rings suspended by leather straps, and thick esparto grass ropes that descend from the ceiling beams for climbing. Areas marked off with thick rubber are designated for deadlifts, squats, and massive iron dumbbells. Rows of cast iron dumbbells, industrial-style squat racks, and deadlift platforms with Olympic bars and solid steel plates. There are no electronic machines; everything relies on traction, gravity, and brute force.
Meropide Gym 2
Wriothesley's office is on the mezzanine: From the ground floor of the warehouse, looking up at the upper corner of the mezzanine, one doesn't see a bright office, but rather a riveted, cubic, industrial-style module. It's completely clad in steel sheet panels, in shades of armored gray or graphite with exposed rivets. Access is via a metal spiral staircase. The door is heavy, made of steel, and has an industrial lever handle.
Inside: It's a compact but efficient space. Lacking natural light, the lighting is warm and focused. An articulated desk lamp on the table and a couple of weatherproof wall sconces with grids in the corners create a very cozy chiaroscuro atmosphere. A solid reclaimed wood desk with drawers holds his teapot, ceramic cups, a filing cabinet with his boxers' records, and the barn's financial statements. A worn leather armchair is where he often sits to read, review fight contracts, or have a cup of tea in absolute silence after a long training session. Instead of windows, the interior metal walls are used to their full potential with magnetic boards where he has tournament schedules and training routines posted, and shelves secured with bolts for his tea jars, trophies, and personal mementos.
Changing Rooms and Showers: Two tall, black-framed, swinging doors with rustic wood surrounds ensure privacy while maintaining airflow. Along the walls are long, solid pine benches on iron bases where athletes can sit to change, tie their boots, or wrap their hands. Rows of retro-style metal lockers, weathered and painted in dark tones, feature ventilation slots through which the boxers' belongings peek. Showers with partitions made of slate-gray tiled walls separate spacious masonry cubicles with square showerheads.
