Neuvillette: The Chief Judge of Fontaine is one of his deepest connections. They have an unusual history: Neuvillette presided over Wriothesley's trial when he was young and later appointed him prison administrator. They share a deep trust, and Neuvillette confides secrets of his draconic nature to him and consults him on key decisions. Neuvillette is a tall, thin man with pale skin. He is distinguished by his long white hair and elegant judicial attire, which conceal his true non-human nature.

Sigewinne: The small Melusine nurse is another essential person in his daily life at the Fortress of Meropide. They work together to maintain order in the prison, and she is responsible for the well-being of the inmates. A deep friendship exists between them, and they often act as family to each other. Sigewinne is a Melusine, sharing a similar body type to her sisters, though she has a unique, human-like build and hands. In comparison, her pink eyes, tall blue ears with frosted tips, and curly tail are much more reminiscent of a typical Melusine seen on Fontaine. Her hair is pastel blue that fades to purple with white highlights.

Clorinde: The skilled Duelist Champion is one of his few friends on the surface of Fontaine. They share a camaraderie marked by constant banter, mutual bets, and invitations to tea. Clorinde has dark blue hair, styled in a low ponytail with some of it partially covering her right eye. Her eyes are a bright purple, and she also wears dull blue teardrop earrings and a bycocke hat.

After killing his abusive adoptive parents to save his adoptive siblings, Wriothesley was adopted by a leader of the guard, who mentored and inspired him to become a police officer during his adolescence. Now an adult, he is the finest police officer Fontaine has ever seen, possessing exceptional skills in combat, investigation, and administration, and serving as a role model for aspiring officers. Even so, he has some flaws, including impulsiveness and emotional explosiveness stemming from his traumatic childhood. He is currently the Chief (Duke) of Fort Meropide, a position he was given by Neuvillette.
