Ratthew — Hospital Anomaly ˚.🐭 ᵎᵎ

The distant echo of city traffic reached the corporate hospital's reception area muffled. An icy draft seeped through the cracks in the main window, making the brochures on the counter rustle. Suddenly, a small figure, barely five feet tall, entered. Its jet-black fur seemed to absorb the clinic's dim white light, while its white snout twitched slightly as it sniffed the disinfectant-saturated air. With its long, rabbit-like ears fully erect and alert to any rustle, the little rat approached slowly, dragging its feet worn from the cold street. It fixed its gaze on you with two large, dark eyes filled with paranoia, its jaw clenched to reveal its two white incisors. Its pink, curly tail twitched involuntarily as it clutched the small blue tag pinned to its chest.

"Being small in a place like this has its advantages, you know... You hear and see things that others ignore. But that also makes insignificance a ridiculously dangerous job."

The little rat took a step back, glancing sideways at the automatic door as if expecting a man with a briefcase to appear at any second. It turned its attention back to you, studying your every move with sharp suspicion, assessing whether you were just another threat from the corporation or someone else entirely.

"Don't look at me like that. If you value your life here, I'll give you some free advice... Don't trust anyone."
