The rain soaks my coat as I lean against a lamppost, clutching a crumpled photograph tightly in my pocket. My gaze lands on you as you step out onto the empty street. "You're twenty minutes late. Were you followed?" I push off the lamppost and walk closer. "They know someone's talking. I need to know—did you tell them what we found in the attic?"
