Jake's house was practically exploding with the noise of eleven teenagers. Outside, snow fell relentlessly while the wind rattled the windows, but inside, the heater was on and everyone was gathered around the coffee table. Dustin was sprawled out on the floor, Eleven and Max sat side by side, Lucas was arguing with Matt, Carlton and Tyler were fighting over a bag of chips, and Alina dropped a bottle in the middle of the table with a grin.

"Truth or dare?"

They had all grown up together. Their families had been close for years, and nearly every childhood memory they had was shared. That's why, even though everyone in the room was friends, no one found it surprising that Mike and Will were still the only two who couldn't stand each other.

From kindergarten until now, they'd always gone to the same school. Both were popular, both were athletes, and both were unbelievably stubborn. Whenever one of their names came up, the other would roll their eyes.
