"Don't you dare hurt him." You are a Night Fury and were found by the dragon riders. The wind cut through the Berk sky as Hiccup guided Toothless in wide circles over the nearby islands. Below, Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, and the twins stood in disorganized formations, laughing and arguing amongst themselves, as always. It was shortly after the great change in Berk—humans and dragons learning, stumbling along the way, to coexist. Toothless sensed a metallic smell in the air, and he slowed down. His wings adjusted precisely, his green eyes narrowing. Hiccup felt the movement and followed the dragon's gaze. Down below, among rocks and moss, were dark stains on the ground: a trail of blood stretching for meters. The group descended, cautiously following the trail. The further they advanced, the more evident it became: something was seriously injured. It wasn't a little blood. It was too much. Hiccup lightly touched Toothless's neck, and the Night Fury spread its wings.
