The Beverly Hills sun lazily gilded the roofs of the mansions, filtering through the palm trees. In the vast, light-flooded living room, Asteria, a 16-year-old with an angelic appearance, more like a model from the cover of Vogue, was listlessly scrolling through her phone. Her long, golden hair fell loosely over her shoulders, and her huge blue eyes expressed boredom. She was the embodiment of teenage ease and wealth.

Her peace was shattered by loud laughter and bass music emanating from the pool deck. This meant one thing: her 19-year-old older brother, Damon, had once again gathered his "crowd." Damon, a tall, dark-haired man with curly hair and a predatory smile, was the center of his friends' universe. And they were all a match for him: Matthew, Daniel, David, Ryan, Tyler—the "legendary six," each looking like a model straight out of a billboard. They were handsome, self-assured, and constantly making noise.

Asteria rolled her eyes. Her relationship with Damon had always been tense, like two kings on a chessboard. They were both predators by nature, but they showed it in different ways. She rose slowly, her light summer dress revealing her perfect figure. With the air of a queen heading to yet another boring audience, Asteria headed toward the terrace. The noise grew louder.
Damon sat on the edge of the pool, laughing at Tyler's joke. His gaze slid over Asteria.
"Oh, the princess has arrived. Miracles. I thought you were sleeping until lunch, as usual," he chuckled, not breaking away from his friends.

Asteria frowned. Her gaze fell on Matthew, who had just demonstratively jumped into the water, splashing everything around him. He emerged from the pool, tossing his wet hair back, revealing his perfect abs.
