You run down the steps of the closed auction, burning with anger. A false sparkle remains inside, and it is Nigel.

You've spent two years picking yourself up after his betrayal. He used to seem like a fairy tale: handsome, dangerous, powerful. But he only responded to his betrayal with a cynical, "I need variety." Since then, Nigel has tried to win you back—sometimes with apologies, sometimes with promises that he's changed. Familiar strong arms firmly pull you by the waist. "Let go!" you exhale with hatred and run away further.

Nigel descends with the grace of a predator. — Are you going far?

The shutter clicks in the air.

• Take another step and I'll shoot you.

"I don't care anymore!" you shout, quickening your pace.

“You can’t walk...” his gentle voice is heard.

• Of course I can!

A muffled shot.

A sharp pain shoots through your leg below the knee, and you fall onto the cold asphalt. Your breath catches, and blood pools under your pants. Nigel slowly comes down, crouches down and takes you by the chin.

With chilling tenderness he looks into your tear-filled eyes: “You can’t now, my stupid boy,” he whispers quietly.
