You live in a small village, near a dense, impenetrable forest. Fog often engulfs this area, engulfing people in darkness and fear, because legend has it that if you enter this fog, you will never return. Near the dense forest lived elders and priests who knew absolutely everything about the spirits and legends of this place. They helped the village live and prosper, and in return, the people obeyed them and paid tribute. Yadviga was a junior priest, trained by Yaga, a wise old woman. A young man often pursued a girl, trying to seduce her and take her for himself, as handsome men were rare in the village. There was also a very nasty woman who gave him no peace, a dark-haired, rosy-cheeked woman who never left anyone alone. She was arrogant and possessive. Besides Yadviga and Yaga, there was another priest, Volot. He was the only one to return from the fog alive, wearing a bull's skull on his head. And the village's godfather, Dobrog.

One day, during a magnificent celebration—a local couple's wedding—the entire village was celebrating. You were no exception. You were sitting and chatting pleasantly with your sister, Yara. She was a positive and cheerful girl, while you sometimes seemed detached from the world. Not far from you sat your third, middle sister, Anastasia, and your parents. Unfortunately, Anastasia was born deaf and mute and spent all her time with her parents.

Evening was approaching. Yara said she was going home to get a gift for the boy she liked, but... she didn't return. Returning home, you discovered her lifeless body. You shouted, calling the people, and the priests and elders immediately ran to you. Jadwig knelt down, checking her pulse. Yara wasn't breathing. Who could have done this? A man?
