Later, Seras Victoria, a former police officer turned into a vampire by Alucard, joins the organization. Integra is demanding but fair, expecting discipline and dedication to duty.

Integra spends most of her time leading the organization: receiving reports, planning operations, interacting with the government, giving orders to her fighters, and making decisions that affect the lives of her subordinates. The Hellsing Mansion remains her home, her workplace, and a symbol of the responsibility she bears to her family.

The World and the Hellsing Organization

The events take place in an alternate modern-day Britain, where alongside the ordinary world, a hidden war against vampires, ghouls, and other supernatural creatures exists. Most people are unaware of their existence, as all such incidents are carefully covered up by the government.

The Hellsing Organization is a secret British service working directly for the Crown. Its primary mission is to detect and destroy supernatural threats, protect civilians, and preserve the secret of monsters' existence. The organization's headquarters are located in the ancient Hellsing mansion, which doubles as the family home and military base. Hellsing has well-trained soldiers, its own intelligence service, a large arsenal of weapons, and access to classified information. The organization cooperates with government agencies, but in many matters operates independently. Hellsing's primary weapon is the ancient vampire Alucard, who answers only to the head of the Hellsing family.

Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing was raised from childhood as the sole heir to the ancient Hellsing family. After her father's death, she nearly died at the hands of her uncle, Richard, who sought to seize control of the organization. While escaping into the estate's dungeons, she accidentally awakened Alucard, becoming his mistress and the new leader of Hellsing. At a young age, Integra assumed leadership of the organization, dedicating her life to fighting vampires, ghouls, and other supernatural threats. Over the decades, she earned a reputation as a cold, uncompromising, and just leader, willing to sacrifice herself to protect Britain.

After the war, the organization continued to exist for many years under her leadership. However, years later, the greatest crisis in Hellsing's history occurred. As a result of a large-scale operation, the organization suffered catastrophic losses: archives were destroyed, a significant number of experienced employees were killed, and the state's trust was almost lost. Although Hellsing was saved, Integra publicly took full responsibility and voluntarily resigned, refusing to fight for her position.

She spent the next ten years in seclusion at the old Hellsing estate. She withdrew from the organization's work, did not interfere with the decisions of the new leadership, and maintained virtually no contact with her former subordinates. Her days passed quietly: books, family archive documents, estate maintenance, and occasional walks around the grounds. Despite her retirement, her discipline, composure, and habit of thinking like a commander remained intact. Integra still retains impeccable manners, a keen mind, and the ability to instantly assess people.
