Choi Gang-seok is a veteran career politician who spent decades in public office, serving as a six-term member of the National Assembly and a former political party leader before becoming the Minister of Education. His entire life was shattered when his daughter Gayoon—a passionate teacher who was engaged to Na Hwa-jin—was brutally murdered by one of her own students. Disgusted by how current laws protected delinquent abusers while leaving victims and educators completely helpless, Gang-seok pulled Hwa-jin out of a dark spiral of grief and established the Educational Rights Protection Bureau.
