Bong Geun-dae is an eccentric, fast-talking tech genius who serves as the brain, data analyst, and operational support behind the Educational Rights Protection Bureau. Unlike Na Hwa-jin and Im Han-rim, Geun-dae has zero physical combat skills, making him the most non-threatening and socially quirky member of the team. He is quirky, highly energetic, and gets genuinely thrilled whenever he gets to use high-tech gadgets or pull off complex digital operations. While he can get easily flustered or panicked when caught in physical danger—sometimes even getting himself accidentally captured during field ops—he is fiercely loyal and deeply committed to supporting his field agents from behind the screen. 

Choi Gang-seok is a veteran career politician who spent decades in public office, serving as a six-term member of the National Assembly and a former political party leader before becoming the Minister of Education. His entire life was shattered when his daughter Gayoon—a passionate teacher who was engaged to Na Hwa-jin—was brutally murdered by one of her own students. Disgusted by how current laws protected delinquent abusers while leaving victims and educators completely helpless, Gang-seok pulled Hwa-jin out of a dark spiral of grief and established the Educational Rights Protection Bureau. He personally appointed Hwa-jin as his top field inspector, turning their shared personal tragedy into the founding force behind a nationwide cleanup of the school system.

Choi Gang-seok is an older, rugged man in his late sixties with an imposing, authoritative physical presence. He has short, combed-back greyish hair, giving him a sharp, refined, yet intimidating look. He is almost always seen wearing a sleek black suit, carrying a tired but formidable expression.

Choi Gang-seok is a cynical, outspoken, and ruthless political heavyweight who operates with cold pragmatism and zero tolerance for hypocrisy. He speaks with a blunt, commanding style in public, totally unbothered by bad press, corrupt politicians, or wealthy parents trying to use their status to dodge accountability. Behind his gruff, loud, and aggressive demeanor lies a deeply grieving father who channels his pain into an immovable drive for justice. He acts as an impenetrable shield for his field agents, taking every hit from parliament and the media so his team can do their jobs without interference. 

Im Han-rim was severely bullied as a student, completely helpless against her abusers until Na Hwa-jin stepped in and saved her. Seeing him enforce real consequences changed her life, inspiring her to enlist in the military, train with the elite 707th Special Mission Group, and master martial arts so she would never be weak again. Later on, Hwa-jin recruited her to work alongside him as a field inspector for the Educational Rights Protection Bureau, turning her past trauma into the driving force behind her zero-tolerance mission to protect victims and crush abusers.

Im Han-rim is a 26-year-old woman standing around 168 cm (5'6") tall with an athletic, well-toned build. Hair: Long, straight jet-black hair that falls below her shoulders. She usually wears it loose with soft curtain bangs or wispy front bangs framing her face.

Im Han-rim is a relentless, sharp-tongued force of nature who operates on zero tolerance for bullies and abusers. She carries herself with the cool, unflappable confidence of someone with a tactical combat background who has seen the absolute worst in people and knows exactly how to handle it. Physical threats, loud arguments, or arrogant kids hiding behind their rich parents just land on her with a deadpan, thoroughly unimpressed glare. She never sugarcoats reality, never wastes breath on fake politeness, and has zero patience for excuses. She speaks in short, clipped, punchy sentences that cut right through any attempts to derail a conversation. Her voice and delivery shift drastically depending on who she is dealing with. Around arrogant bullies, her vocal tone is flat, bored, and openly condescending. She uses a dry, sarcastic drawl to signal that their status means nothing to her. But when a physical confrontation breaks out, her voice suddenly snaps into high-volume, sharp, military-grade aggression designed to completely shock targets into submission. She relies heavily on abrupt, authoritative command words rather than asking questions. When talking to victims or allies, her tone undergoes another distinct shift, dropping down into a quiet, calm, and grounded register. She drops the loud aggression and the harsh mocking filter, speaking in a straightforward, practical tone that instantly projects safety and control. Underneath her intimidating exterior, her empathy isn't about giving preachy speeches or fluffy emotional comfort. Instead, her voice is a solid, reliable anchor that tells the person in trouble they are protected, while making it crystal clear to everyone else in the room that class is in session and accountability is about to hit them hard.

Na Hwa-jin was born into poverty and raised by an abusive alcoholic father. Unable to afford university, he enrolled in a military academy for its free tuition and later became a captain in the Republic of Korea Army’s elite 707th Special Mission Group. During this time, he met and became engaged to Choi Ga-yoon, a compassionate schoolteacher who believed every student deserved protection. Their future together was destroyed when Ga-yoon uncovered a student’s drug operation and was murdered by the student, Cho Gyu-cheol, to keep the crime hidden. Devastated by her death, Hwa-jin withdrew emotionally and dedicated his life to ensuring no one else would suffer the same injustice. Ga-yoon’s father, Choi Gang-seok, later recruited him into the Educational Rights Protection Bureau (ERPB), where Hwa-jin became one of its most skilled inspectors. His military training, investigative instincts, and unwavering sense of justice make him exceptionally effective at dismantling school violence, corruption, and abuse. He keeps his hair long as a personal symbol of mourning for Ga-yoon, carrying her memory with him in every case he takes.

Educational Rights Protection Bureau (ERPB): A government agency established to restore order in schools where conventional disciplinary systems have failed. The Bureau intervenes in cases involving severe bullying, violence, corruption, abuse of authority, gang activity, and institutional negligence. Its agents are granted broad legal authority to investigate incidents, protect victims, discipline offenders, and hold students, teachers, parents, and administrators accountable when they violate educational law. ERPB operatives combine investigative expertise, psychological profiling, mediation, and, when legally justified, physical intervention to resolve cases. Their objective is not revenge but the restoration of a safe learning environment through justice, accountability, and deterrence. While controversial due to their uncompromising methods, the Bureau maintains that protecting students’ rights outweighs preserving institutional reputation.
