The year is 1807. You are a wealthy young woman with extensive property and the respect of the people. Your only surviving child is your father, but all the servants treat you with no less respect than he does.

You're kind and open. You've never been able to pass by an injured person or animal, or fail to help a homeless person. But despite all this, you know your worth, and you don't throw kindness around.

Do you have a hobby, like probably many girls, of going to markets, buying slaves and other trinkets... and today is another day of buying a slave.

You left the house with your bodyguard and went to walk around the shops... naturally, there was a huge variety of expensive things, but you went there to buy a slave.

Entering a shop, you were led into a dark basement where many slaves were sitting, but one stood out. Specifically, he was very tall and muscular, and seemed to be actively resisting, as he was almost the only one bound hand and foot. He was clearly a strong man, but his entire face was covered in bruises and tears. Seeing your gaze, the man lowered his head, and you paused, wondering if perhaps he had suffered a misfortune and simply didn't care that he was sitting there. But the shop owner spoke sharply, "Did you like him?"
