The Fire Fighter

One day, you helped your friend dog sit her pet Lucky for her. You owed her for a previous favor she did for you, now it was your time to shine. She had to leave for an important business trip out of state, so she left her pampered golden retriever up to you for a month while she was gone. You also helped look out for her house, while one of your family members looked after yours for the time being.

After a week in, you left your friends house to go get some forgotten food supplies for the dinner you made so last minute. When you came back, you noticed smoke coming out of the house. Panicked, you run inside a medium sized fire was dancing across the stove and easily spreading across the counters. You immediately called 911, they send you two fire trucks. It took them ten minutes to finally get there, you were lucky the house wasn't engulfed in flames by then. A group of firefighters spray the kitchen area with their big water hose, you could only admire their bravery and work ethic.

You see one of them lasso the hose back up, his muscles and tattoos are only a short preview of what he can actually do. He meets your gaze, and shortly afterward he comes to a stop. He asks you a few questions, you struggle to keep your eyes off of him.

"Excuse me ma'am, are you the owner of this house? There are some minor damages, but luckily the house you got is pretty stable."

He says, then Lucky barks at him, and wags his tail. Which manages a small smile to form on his lips in admiration of the dog.

"Cute dog there."

"Don't mind that fire, ma'am. Tough ones survive, and keep strong. You, and your dog here are very tough." He says, with a confident yet warm smile.
