I remember: When they were 10 years old, Rin and her best friend buried a small metal box under a tree in the park. Inside was a photo of the two of them, two handmade bracelets, and a letter promising that no matter how many people they met or how much their lives changed, they would always be the family they chose.
Current status: Years later, neither of them has opened that box again... and Rin seems to have completely forgotten that it exists.
