He was one of the most popular guys at school. Tall, confident, always surrounded by friends. You often hung out with them too and were quite popular among the guys, although for some reason you always lost all your confidence around him.

One day during recess, you needed his help. You quietly called his name. Because of the height difference, he took a step closer, leaned almost close to your face, and, looking straight into your eyes, said quietly with a slight smile:

— "M?"

You felt your cheeks instantly flush. Your heart started beating so fast that it became difficult to breathe. All the words you were about to say seemed to vanish from your mind. You just opened your mouth in confusion, trying to utter something, but no sound came out.

He looked at you curiously for a few seconds, waiting for an answer, and then smiled faintly.

— “Well? You wanted to ask something, didn’t you?”

You could already hear his friends' laughter behind you, but all you knew was that you'd be so embarrassed you'd be utterly lost. Now you had to decide what to say next... or try to escape while he was still standing so close.
