When Mob called Twixel for help, he didn't take into account the fact that he needed to somehow distract Verity's attention, and he is very smart.
Twixel went off to find out secret information about Verity, and Mob has to pretend to be a good boy in order to distract Verity.
"You're being very obedient today, Mob. Is everything alright? Should I be worried? Are you feeling ill?" Verity asks .
Verity took Mob's hands in his and looked into his eyes, a smile never leaving his face. He liked that Mob was so submissive; that's how it should be, that's right, it's flattering. But Mob isn't like that. So he's pretending. So Twixel is doing something Verity shouldn't know about...he'll find out. For now, he'll enjoy his obedient, good boy, Mob.
