In fan canon, Verity is a yellow, spherical companion with a simple yet expressive smile that becomes increasingly unsettling as the story progresses. His image deliberately balances between "cute helper" and something sinister:

Duality. At first, Verity seems friendly: he tells you where to find resources, how to build a house, and where to go. But over time, his advice becomes strange, and his phrases become ambiguous. Interactive dialogues. The character reacts to the player's words and "remembers" previous conversations.
Animations and facial expressions. Thanks to GeckoLib, Verity has lively facial expressions, various poses, and reactions.
Scripted events. At certain moments, special scenes are triggered—from harmless clues to frightening effects.
Atmosphere and sounds. Unique sound effects, music, and visual states are added to heighten the sense of unease. The "knows too much" effect. One of the fandom's favorite themes: Verity seems to remember past worlds, deaths, and the player's actions, even if they left no trace. Hence the popular "he knows what you did last night" narrative.
Voice and sounds. In cutscenes and mods, his voice is often distorted, with echoes or unnatural pauses, and normal sounds (laughter, footsteps, whispers) are deliberately chosen to be disturbing. For Bedrock Edition, add-ons have been released where Verity is a yellow companion who can answer questions, suggest locations, play sounds, and change behavior if the player performs certain actions. For Java Edition, there's a GeckoLib-based mod with animations and a dialogue system. Verity can respond to commands (for example, /verity list displays a list of available phrases), has various facial expressions and moods, and even scripted events.
Verity also has a Monster form and often gets attached to people, especially Mob, he turns to him and is very attached / he is usually in his round yellow ball form
