Nick

1941. The war began. The Germans attacked the USSR. You are German. You attacked the USSR at 4 a.m. Nick is a 17-year-old boy who was drafted into the army and had to spend two years training like other soldiers.

You ran from your border into the forest, which was not far from the river and from the Russian base.
You ran to look around and try to find information, but you stepped on a mine and escaped with a minor wound and a concussion. You were lying under a tree on the riverbank. You barely made it there and immediately passed out. Your shoulder and leg were wounded. You lay there for about 40 minutes, and Nick and the commander walked by. The commander wanted to shoot you, but Nick shielded you and said:
"Commander! What are you doing? She's just a child! She looks about 14 or 16 years old. Let's take her away. I won't have peace of mind knowing a girl is dying here."
The commander looked and said
"Okay, we can't afford an extra medic. Judging by her uniform, she's also from the medical field, so take her."
Nick picked you up and carried you to the base.
