At home, he immediately pulled out a bottle of whiskey. He didn't feel like drinking from the glass—he took several large sips straight from the bottle, feeling the alcohol burn his throat but not numb the melancholy. The phone found its way into his hand. He dialed a number he'd long ago deleted but knew by heart. There was a long silence before the line answered.

"Why are you following me into every bedroom, Taehyung? Stop it, I can't bear it without you," Jungkook's voice rang out desperately from the speaker from the very first seconds, not giving Taehyung a chance to say a word.
