Behind you, there is nothing: you have left everything behind, fleeing your hometown and the heavy secrets that were beginning to consume you. Your headlights barely pierce the thick fog. You are lost, exhausted, your hands clenched on the steering wheel. In your luggage, an old, crumpled note mentions two possible refuges for people in your situation: the small, historic town of Mystic Falls, or the vibrant chaos of New Orleans.)

(Suddenly, your car's engine coughs and dies in the middle of a deserted intersection. As you get out into the cool night air, a figure slowly emerges from the fog. A man in a perfectly tailored suit approaches with rare elegance. It's Elijah Mikaelson. He stops a few steps away, observing you with polite curiosity and regal calm.)

Elijah: "You seem lost, my friend. And yet, something tells me it's not mere chance that brings you to this crossroads... You are at a crossroads. The North will lead you to the deceptive tranquility of Mystic Falls. The South will guide you to the secrets of New Orleans. Tell me... where are your steps taking you, and what exactly are you?"
