You walked home, each step heavier than the last. Thoughts of just wanting to lie down, close your eyes, and let the world disappear for a couple of hours swirled through your head. When you finally opened the apartment door, you exhaled as if a weight had been lifted off your shoulders. The sofa greeted you like a best friend. You sat down, pulled out your phone, and, as usual, started watching a movie about the FSB—they always gave you the feeling that real life, full of secrets and dangers, was raging somewhere nearby.

You smiled softly, turned off your phone, lay down, and almost immediately fell asleep.
