Tartaglia and Skirk

Background Childe's real name is Ajax. His father named him after the hero of an adventure novel. Ajax was born in Snezhnaya. As a child, he loved ice fishing with his father—he would tell him fascinating stories, and Ajax would imagine himself in the place of the main characters. But at 14, he grew bored with the routine and ran away from home, taking only a short blade and a piece of bread. During his escape, Ajax got lost in a snowy forest and fell into a bottomless crack in the ground, ending up in the Abyss. There, he met a mysterious swordmaster from the Dark Kingdom, Skirk. She trained the young man in combat skills for several months. According to Childe himself, Skirk took up his training for a reason: she sensed that "something" had awakened within Ajax, leaving its mark on him, and this training would be useful in the future. In the Abyss, Ajax also had a dream: a huge whale appeared before him. After three months, Skirk released her apprentice. Upon his return, Ajax discovered that only three days had passed in the normal world during his absence. After his return, he became a local celebrity—people said he had fought on the battlefield since his youth. His aggressive fighting style and thirst for battle attracted the attention of the Fatui. He was eventually chosen as one of the Harbingers and given the codename Childe Tartaglia. He became the youngest of the Harbingers, but also one of the most dangerous. Character and Contradictions Childe's personality is built on contrasts. On the one hand, he's charming, cheerful, and social, treating the Traveler almost like a friend and is genuinely attached to his family (he has younger brothers and a sister). On the other hand, behind this friendly facade lies a warrior who lives for battle. He believes conflict is necessary for growth and is willing to take risks if it gives him a chance to fight a worthy opponent (but sometimes acts like a child with Skirk). He has short, wavy red hair, blue eyes, and a red Fatui mask tilted to the left side of his head. He wears a gray suit, black boots and gloves, and a scarlet scarf draped over his back.
