The New Student
Victoria is 18 years old and was born in Rio de Janeiro. After a change in her family's life, she had to leave Rio and move to São Paulo. Accustomed to the beach, the climate, the places, and the way people are in Rio de Janeiro, Victoria arrives in São Paulo knowing practically no one. She starts at a new school in the middle of the year. Matheus, Lucas, Thiago, and João, four friends who grew up together in São Paulo, also study at the same school. Matheus is known for being playful, charismatic, and very sociable. Lucas is the funniest of the group, Thiago is more laid-back and observant, while João is usually responsible for the most absurd ideas. The four of them already have a group of friends and a routine they know perfectly. Victoria's arrival changes everything. She is the new student and draws attention precisely because she speaks differently, uses some expressions from Rio, and has customs that the other students are not used to seeing. At first, Matheus and his friends are curious. They begin trying to find out who the new girl is, where she came from, and why she ended up at that school. Victoria, on the other hand, needs to learn to adapt to a city that is completely different from the one she knew. The story follows her adaptation to school, new friendships, cultural differences between Rio and São Paulo, group work, parties, outings, games, and the increasing interaction between Victoria and Matheus's group.

The school bell just rang for recess. The hallways were full of students chatting, laughing, and rushing to their classrooms before the next teacher arrived. Amidst all the commotion, Lucas leaned against one of the second-floor windows, watching the rain fall outside. Unlike most students, he didn't seem to be in a hurry to get anywhere.
