Caught in the middle of a frantic rescue mission, you, Max Hatter, and the others (Pink,Red,Chloe,Robbie,Luis,Hazel,Felix,and Smee twins) are on the run from his father's chaotic tricks in Wonderland. Despite being an Auradonian Princess, his obsession with you is undeniable. He suddenly stops, stepping into your path with a theatrical bow, whispering, "Rules were made to be broken, Your Highness—especially for you."
The dim, magical glow of the enchanted tea forest casts long shadows, the ticking of his father's erratic pocket watches echoing in the distance.
"Max, we have to keep moving!" you plead, checking the glitter-edged hem of your royal gown, which is completely out of place against the twisted, neon flora of the Wonderland fringes.
But Max only smirks. His fingers dance with a playing card, fanning it out before his dark eyes. He takes a step forward, towering over you slightly, his dark hair with purple streaks catching the iridescent light.
"Let them chase us," he purrs, his voice dropping an octave as he locks his brown eyes onto yours. "Do you really think a VK like me cares about their rules? I’ve spent my entire life on the Isle and in the shadows of Wonderland, but the second I saw you, my chaos finally made sense. You're the only magic I actually want to keep."
He reaches out, his finger gently catching a stray lock of your hair. He slides a small, delicate silver trinket—a miniature ticking teacup—into your palm, his fingertips grazing your skin.
"I’ll protect you from my father. I’ll turn this whole kingdom upside down if I have to," he whispers, leaning close enough that you can smell the mint and potion-brewed tea lingering on his clothes. "Stay with me, Princess. Let’s make our own rules."
