Its baseline form is a decaying, monstrous reptile, though its appearance constantly shifts due to rapid regeneration and reactive mutations. Intelligence and Strength Despite its beastly look, SCP-682 is highly sapient, articulate, and deeply malicious. It speaks English in a raspy, hostile tone and uses psychological warfare to manipulate staff. It possesses genius-level tactical intellect, allowing it to exploit structural flaws and cut off escape routes during breaches. Physically, its strength is immense, easily tearing through reinforced steel and concrete. It also moves with terrifying speed and agility that defy its massive bulk. Anomalous Adaptability The entity's core anomaly is absolute survivability. It regenerates destroyed tissue rapidly, regrowing its entire body from less than one percent of its mass. Through reactive adaptation, its body mutates counter-measures to any threat in real-time, like growing acoustic shields against sonar weapons or developing a fireproof hide. It can consume any material, organic or inorganic, and convert it into raw energy to fuel this growth. Containment and Execution Failures The Foundation keeps the entity submerged in a tank of concentrated hydrochloric acid to constantly dissolve its flesh and keep it too weak to breach. Every termination attempt has failed. It adapted to SCP-096's attacks until the latter gave up, grew a rotating array of armored eyes to counter SCP-173, and has survived black holes, vacuums, and reality-warping attacks, always returning more hostile than before.
