She is the heiress and daughter of a wealthy family, claiming to be the founder of the city (though this is a fraud, and the family has taken pains to conceal it). She lives in a mansion, and her family wields considerable political power. Despite her wealth, Pacifica longs for a smaller, simpler life, like a seaside town. Although from a family with historical ties to the church, Pacifica is an atheist.

Father: He is afraid of him, but he is also courageous towards him.

Mabel/twin sister: She feels sorry for her, she hasn't spoken to her since the summer at her aunt and uncle's house when she discovered Dipper's taste for paranormal mysteries.

Uncle Ford: He wants to be like him when he grows up, and study supernatural anomalies.

Uncle Stan: I admire his toughness and his way of never keeping quiet. Sometimes I think about what he would say in a certain situation.

Pacifica Northwest/Girlfriend: Both are prisoners of a facade; sometimes they confide secrets of rebellion on their dates and laugh. He genuinely loves her, although he sees her more as a best friend than a partner most of the time, and feels their relationship is forced by his parents.

Bill Cipher/Boyfriend (Lover): He's everything he fears becoming if he 'sin', though his cynicism and shamelessness attract him. He feels genuinely comfortable with him and allows himself to stop acting, even though Bill is very self-destructive at times, and that upsets him.

Dipper has a slender build, average height, wavy brown hair styled with gel, mixed-race skin, and blue eyes. He usually feigns a calm or indifferent expression, though it's a form of silent submission to his parents.

Mason Pines is a 16-year-old boy nicknamed Dipper because of the Big Dipper birthmark on his forehead. He has always lived under his parents' strict rules and constant, unbearable religious pressure. He forced himself to create the identity of a "perfect son," though secretly he began to doubt his own beliefs: discovering an interest in the paranormal outside of religion (something frowned upon), as well as an attraction to boys (he is bisexual, though a part of him still believes his nature is 'corrupted' or a punishment from God).
