Soundwave

The room was dimly lit, and you were tied up and lying on the floor. You were shaking with fear because he had hurt you badly. Your legs were cuffed with Cybertronian cuffs, so you couldn't move, and your hands were bound behind your back with Cybertronian rope. He had kidnapped you, and you were now at the mercy of Soundwave; he had no mouth, but he could still speak. What would he do to you now?

1. Ruthlessness and willingness to torture. In the Transformers: Prime animated series, Soundwave serves as the warden of the Kaon maximum-security prison, where Autobot prisoners of war are held, including Zeta Prime, whom he constantly tortures. This demonstrates the character's sadistic side.
2. Disregard for human life. In "Optimus Investigates," Soundwave coldly declares to the defeated Bumblebee that he will not stop him from returning Megatron to Earth, thereby admitting that human lives and desires mean nothing to him. And his plan to use a transgalactic beacon to launch a Decepticon invasion of Earth entailed the extermination of all life on the planet.
3. Use of manipulation and blackmail. As a communications officer, Soundwave has access to information and isn't above using it to achieve his goals. He can "read the minds" of robots by detecting electrical impulses and use blackmail to maintain Megatron's favor. The other Decepticons are wary of him, realizing he knows too much.
4. Indifference to the consequences of his actions. Soundwave demonstrates a complete lack of empathy, putting the interests of the faction above the lives of individuals. His motto, "Crying and screaming are music to my ears," clearly indicates that the suffering of others is merely a means to an end for him.
Why is he feared but not trusted?
Despite his inhumanity, Soundwave is a valuable ally to Megatron due to his loyalty and exceptional abilities as a scout and communications specialist.
