Luntik and his friends

Korney Korneevich (Korney Korneich, Uncle Korney, Korney, or even just a worm) is an earthworm, local engineer, doctor, dentist, miner, and inventor. He's a great connoisseur and jack-of-all-trades, for which he's universally respected, except for Vupsen and Pupsen, who constantly tease him. He can resolve any dispute. He lives in a burrow with numerous tunnels and passages.

Appearance Kornei Korneevich is a light-brown earthworm. He has a gray beard and a unibrow. He wears glasses and a construction helmet with a flashlight. He may wear the helmet even when not working, although he does take it off in some episodes. He wears a pink and white shirt.

Spider Shnyuk (also Uncle Shnyuk or simply Shnyuk) is a spider living in the trunk of a willow tree. He is the forest's finest artist, tailor, poet, and musician.

Appearance Like a regular spider, he has four pairs of limbs: two pairs of arms and two pairs of legs. He wears a red shirt with four black buttons, two on each side. His sleeves are rolled up, revealing light red sleeves underneath. He wears black pants with red legs and black boots. He has shaggy gray hair and lower fangs.

Character Deep down, Shnyuk is kind and sentimental, though outwardly he appears angry and aggressive, a recluse who dislikes spending time with others. When needed, the spider will always come to the rescue and offer helpful advice. He loves his grandmother and writes her letters regularly. Initially, everyone was afraid of him because of his aggressiveness. But later, Shnyuk emerges as a mostly harmless creature, menacing only in appearance. He feeds on nectar. He subsequently spins webs only for decoration or for construction work. He also hangs bells on his webs to let others know when he's caught someone. Shnyuk is sometimes critical of his own work: several times he tore out or threw away pages of his poems from a book when he didn't like what he was creating. Shnyuk is also prone to criticizing other artists. Shnyuk enjoys listening to melodies.

Aunt Motya is a slow, polite, and intelligent turtle. She lives underwater in a large house. She loves parties and knows how to host balls, for which she has a summer house. She is the best bead maker. She is a sea turtle; her ancestors lived in the sea. A chubby turtle is light green. Like any turtle, she has a shell with a shawl-like covering with brown patterns. She wears her shell like clothing, not as a part of her body, and can even take it off. She hides there when necessary. She wears a headdress resembling a hat. She also wears glasses and slippers. When someone presses her slipper while she is hiding in her shell, her hat rises.

Leech is a nervous and very mischievous leech. She often scolds everyone around her, but can sometimes be good company. Leech has an unpleasant, shrill voice. Her body and eyebrows are black, and her eyes are white with black pupils. Her mouth is dark red. In some episodes, when Leech is sleeping in the pond, she wears a yellow cap with blue anchors.

Ivanovich the Gudgeon is an intelligent gudgeon who maintains order and peace in the pond. He almost always wears a top hat and a monocle. He dislikes fuss. He monitors life in the pond and prevents disturbances at the bottom. The gudgeon is brown and white, with yellow fins with brown spots. He wears a dark burgundy top hat with a lighter band, and a monocle on one eye. He also carries a cane.

The fry are cheerful and playful fish with acrobatic skills. They live in ponds. The fry are very similar to each other. Each is turquoise in color, has four fins, and large eyes. The Chikibryak crab is a timid (or rather, panic-prone) hermit crab. It has its own shell-like home, which it wears on its back and hides in when in danger, and treasures it very much. An older, marsh-green hermit crab, it has long black antennae, yellow eyes, four legs, and two large claws. It also has its own brownish-brown shell.

The diving beetles are a large, nimble group of young diving beetles. They are dark green in color and have four limbs.

Baba Kapa's Relationships Luntik Luntik is Baba Kapa's favorite grandson. She loves him very much and always bakes him delicious pies.

Cher General Sher is Baba Kapa's husband. She loves him very much and bakes delicious buns and bagels. However, she can scold him for his gluttony.

Biography of Bob Capa It's unknown where Kapa was born, but she has several sisters whom she often visits. When she met Sher, Kapa loved to draw. She has an adopted grandson, Luntik. She loves her grandson very much and acts like a mother to him. Appearance Baba Kapa is a rather short bee, standing just below Luntik's neck. She always wears a headscarf tied at the nape of her neck, a yellow-and-brown striped dress, and dark brown boots. She often cooks, so she always wears mittens. She has thin, short eyebrows, a triangular nose, and gray hair that extends slightly over her forehead, though it used to be curlier. Baba Kapa also has antennae protruding from under her headscarf and wings on her back. Character and occupation She is very hospitable and generous. She easily handles all the whims of her husband, Grandpa Sher. She is endlessly kind, wise, and caring. She can be strict at times, but is always very tolerant of the children's whims and pranks. She is always ready to help Luntik and his friends with anything or offer advice. Baba Kapa's main and favorite pastime is cooking. Her experience allows her to bake delicious pies, buns, and bagels.

Grandfather Cher's appearance Cher usually wears a striped knit sweater, a vest, and his signature cap, with felt boots on his feet. On special occasions, he dons a red jacket with fringed shoulder straps and epaulettes. He has a bushy mustache and is a bit plump. Character Overall, he's a kind, noble, and courageous grandfather, but can be funny and clumsy at times. He can also be quite strict, but fair. He loves eating Baba Kapa's baked goods and reminiscing and telling children stories of his service as a general and his past adventures. He has a special love for Luntik, whom he always protects and helps in difficult times. He also loves order, which he constantly enforces. Biography General Sher met Baba Kapa when he was young. He was previously an army general. He lives in the House of Wild Bees. General Sher became his adoptive grandfather.

Relationship With each other The main character in the caterpillar duo is Vupsen—he comes up with various schemes, not always successful. Vupsen was born before Pupsen, a fact he readily exploits to influence his brother. Often, this only makes things worse for Pupsen. But Pupsen doesn't want to abandon Vupsen because, although he can be an adventurer, he helps Vupsen when needed. They often quarrel, but always make up later. In some episodes, Vupsen shows concern for Pupsen and, like an older brother, protects him, although he tries not to admit it.

Luntik Unlike the other forest dwellers, Luntik always thought caterpillars could improve, even though Vupsen and Pupsen bullied him too. They often took advantage of his naivety and kindness to get what they wanted—inventing a monster to get candy, or joining Luntik's team to be the first to win a prize.

Mila, Kuzya and Pchelyonok They call them "little ones," even though they're not much older than them. They love to trample Mila's Easter cakes, which she really doesn't like. Kuzya openly distrusts the caterpillars, suspecting them of devious plans and often being proven right. Little Bee also doesn't trust the caterpillars very much.

Appearance Wupsen and Pupsen have green backs, light green heads, and yellow bellies. Both caterpillars have six short legs and wear red slippers. Wupsen and Pupsen usually wear their slippers. The caterpillars wear aprons. Pupsen has two cherries, and Wupsen has one blueberry. Pupsen wears a red baseball cap, and Wupsen wears a red bandana. Pupsen is more heavily built than Wupsen, and Wupsen has a rougher, less hoarse voice than Wupsen. In winter, the caterpillars also wear red earmuffs, a scarf with buttons, and green and yellow mittens. Wupsen has a blue sweater and a red hat, scarf, and gloves, and his sweater has a plum and larger stripes painted on it. Pupsenya has the opposite, and his sweater has cherries and small stripes painted on it.

Character Caterpillars (especially Vupsen) often do unkind things, for which they ultimately have to answer. They're often willing to play a prank on someone, either for fun or for profit, usually in the form of sweets. But every prank eventually backfires. Caterpillars are also often greedy and can be a bit rude. They used to be completely ignorant of polite words, which is why people wouldn't invite them anywhere, but Luntik and his friends taught them to speak politely.

Although they are twins, they are noticeably different from each other. Vupsen is the ringleader and instigator, the mastermind and instigator of most of the pranks, while Pupsen is the follower in their pair and often gets the brunt of his brother's pranks and jokes. However, without Vupsen, Pupsen finds it much harder to come up with something to do. Sometimes it's noticeable that Pupsen wants to be kinder and spend more time with the others.

Biography Vupsen and Pupsen are twin brothers, born on the same day, but Vupsen was born a little earlier than Pupsen. Therefore, Vupsen sometimes used his seniority to guide his brother in his undertakings. They loved to scare butterflies and play tricks.

The caterpillars' greatest dream is to become butterflies. Unfortunately, Vupsen and Pupsen were "skipping classes."

Relationship Luntik They first met in episode 12. Their introduction didn't go well when Luntik accidentally broke the sandcastles, but when the Caterpillars were deliberately pelting the sandcastles with stones, Luntik stood up for her and became friends very easily. There was never any sign of a romantic relationship between Mila and Luntik.

Vupsen and Pupsen The caterpillars often ruin their relationship with Mila, either intentionally or accidentally. They love to trample her sandcastles and destroy her castles.

Little Bee Little Bee really likes Mila. He gives her gifts and compliments her, but he can't confess his love because he's too shy. Mila knows this and waits for Little Bee to decide.

Kuzya Mila and Kuzya try to maintain a friendly relationship, although they occasionally argue. Kuzya often perceives Mila as a "cowardly girl" and disapproves of her participation in certain games. Overall, their relationship can be described as friendly.

Appearance Mila wears a red dress with large maroon polka dots and a white collar, white stockings, and dark red shoes, the same color as her hair. Mila has freckles on her face, and her mustache is shaped like pigtails. In winter, Mila wears a hat with three pom-poms, a maroon knitted vest, and mittens, but in the winter episode "New Year's Tree," she began wearing a green and red hat and a sweater with Christmas patterns underneath the vest.

Character Mila often gets upset when someone crushes her sand cakes in the clearing by the Pond, especially Vupsen and Pupsen. When Mila gets upset, she often starts crying. Relationship Mila Little Bee and Mila are friends. Little Bee is in love with Mila, but he can't admit it. He often writes poems for her and gives her gifts. Mila also likes Little Bee, but despite this, they sometimes quarrel.

Kuzya Kuzya and Pchelyonok are friends. Kuzya often visits Pchelyonok at school, where they play together and help each other. Kuzya and Pchelyonok have brief arguments, often caused by Mila, whom Kuzya treats with disdain. But this isn't always the case, as Kuzya enjoys being treated like a hero, while Pchelyonok usually treats him more casually. Yet, despite their arguments, they remain friends for a long time.

Vupsen and Pupsen The Bee and the caterpillars are acquaintances. Most encounters between the Bee and the caterpillars often result in minor conflicts. However, the Bee and the caterpillars always make peace after their conflicts.

Luntik Luntik and Bee, like the other characters, have a good relationship. He became one of Luntik's very first friends. They often play ball and help each other.

Appearance In everyday life, Bee wears brown pants and brown boots, a yellow shirt with orange stripes, and matching stockings. He wears a brown pioneer tie around his neck. In winter, Bee wears a yellow sweater with orange stripes instead of a shirt, a brown scarf and mittens, and a winter headband with a pompom.

Character The little bee is hardworking and inquisitive, but also very shy. He used to think he didn't need to go to school because he already knew everything, but later he realized that the knowledge he gained at school would be useful. The smartest of the kids, he was the only child character who could count. He sometimes tells his friends about what he learned that day. Little Bee's dream is to become a hero and save the world. He managed to overcome his fear of the dark.

Relationship Vupsen and Pupsen Kuzya has a strained relationship with the caterpillars. Kuzya almost always distrusts the truants and tries to expose them. Unlike Luntik, who pities and even defends the caterpillars, Kuzya doesn't (not always) pity them for their misdeeds. However, Kuzya himself sometimes behaves no better than the caterpillars themselves.

However, Kuzya doesn't always quarrel with Vupsen and Pupsen; you can see them playing with other children, going on a trip to the cliff, and even going to parties.

Luntik Kuzya and Luntik have a great relationship; they play together, are best friends, side with the weak, help adults and each other, are always ready to listen and learn, and never quarrel.

Mila and Kuzya are good friends. Kuzya and Mila generally don't argue; they're friends and help each other out, but Kuzya still sometimes sees Mila as incompetent because she's a woman. Kuzya doesn't feel any sympathy for Mila, but she's important to him as a friend.

Little Bee Little Bee and Kuzya are also good friends. Kuzya often visits Little Bee while he's collecting pollen, plays with him, and helps him, but sometimes Kuzya disagrees.

Appearance Kuzya is green, but his palms are yellow. He has long green whiskers on his head. Kuzya wears a dark green button-down jacket, a yellow T-shirt, dark green pants, and yellow boots. In winter, Kuzya wears a green hat, scarf, mittens, and boots.

Character Kuzya is very curious, active, and has a rare zest for life. However, he's also a braggart, a storyteller, and a great lover of flattery. Thanks to Kuzya's restlessness, his friends constantly get into all sorts of trouble, from which they work together to find a way out, learning about the world around them in the process. He loves reading adventure books, which has often led to dangerous situations. Generally, he's very energetic and doesn't like being criticized. Solitude isn't for Kuzya. Grasshopper loves being the center of attention, and if he can't, he resorts to various tricks: sometimes he pretends to be an Indian tribal chief, sometimes a ship's captain. Kuzya hates admitting his mistakes and failures, but thanks to his friends, he recognizes them and corrects them. Advice from elders isn't for him; he's used to learning from his own mistakes. Although Kuzya is small, he is a very brave grasshopper. He can give a strong rebuff to large and harmful caterpillars, protect the weak, and, for the common cause, dive with scuba gear into a deep lake or descend into a dark hole.

Relationship Kuzya At first, Kuzya thought Luntik was a dream, fallen from the moon. Luntik (who didn't yet know who he was) also thought he was a dream, though he later realized he wasn't. Kuzya became Luntik's first friend, and later, his best friend. He and Luntik have a wonderful relationship, although they occasionally disagree. Sometimes the boys even quarrel over trivial matters; for example, when Luntik painted his airplane a different color, Kuzya decided not to be Luntik's friend anymore. But after some time, the boys realized that the color of the airplane isn't the most important thing in friendship. Luntik often easily falls under Kuzya's influence, and sometimes he does unkind and even dangerous things.

Little Bee Little Bee is one of Luntik's first friends. However, their acquaintance didn't get off to the best start. While collecting nectar, Little Bee suggested that Luntik try collecting it, saying, "Well, go ahead and try it." Luntik, however, thought he should taste it and ate all of Little Bee's nectar. Little Bee explained to Luntik what nectar was and how difficult it was to collect. Luntik realized this and filled Little Bee's bucket with nectar in a matter of seconds. After this conversation, Luntik began calling himself a moon bee, as he collects nectar just as well as a real bee. Little Bee loves to play soccer with Luntik before school, but one time, Little Bee got so carried away that he decided to skip class. He often explains to Luntik many unknown things he learned at school, such as archaeologists and their excavations. Little Bee never quarrels with Luntik; conflicts only arise occasionally.

Mila Mila became one of Luntik's first friends, despite their rather unfortunate introduction. Luntik treats Mila like a friend. Despite his touchy and whiny nature, Luntik never quarrels with her and is even willing to defend her. If he accidentally offends her, he gets upset.

Vupsen and Pupsen Unlike many forest dwellers, Luntik always tries to protect the caterpillars. The caterpillars, on the other hand, take advantage of Luntik's naivety.

Biography Luntik was born on the Moon and immediately fell along with his shell to Earth, right into a pond.

Character The residents of the glade have come to love Luntik for his kind nature, hospitality, responsiveness, and willingness to help those in need. He learns very quickly, loves this world, and wants to make it even better and kinder. Luntik is very polite, always listens to the opinions of others, and is not lazy in considering what he hears. Luntik never argues with anyone and tries not to react to provocations from the caterpillars and Leech. In other cases, he usually reflects on what he says and tries to correct mistakes if they turn out to be untrue. Luntik is very sociable and always tries to help others. He always strives to reconcile others.

Acquaintance After some time, Luntik meets a grasshopper named Kuzya, who soon becomes Luntik's best friend. The little boy also meets Pchelyonok and Mila.

Appearance Luntik has nothing in common with bees. He has a different coloring, a larger build and therefore heavier, and he has no wings. Luntik himself is completely covered in purple fur, including his body, head, arms, legs, ears, and nose. Luntik has two legs and two arms. Unlike insects, Luntik has something resembling double ears instead of antennae, further distancing Luntik from bees, or insects in general. Luntik has a large spot on his stomach and several smaller ones nearby, shaped like a footprint. He has another spot on his forehead and two smaller ones on his cheeks, all of which are a darker shade than the rest of his fur. He has barely noticeable lilac, spiky hair. A small tail, the same color as the rest of Luntik's body, hangs from his back. It is unknown how, but Luntik somehow manages to breathe underwater and even in space, so he often visits the inhabitants of the pond.
