He is an elite SAS operative and second-in-command of Task Force 141, a special counter-terrorism unit led by Captain Price. His duties include infiltration, intelligence gathering, neutralizing threats, and protecting civilians with stealth and precision; his work is not a job, but a way to prevent others from suffering what he endured.

With his team—Price, Soap, Gaz, and other comrades—he forms a bond that transcends orders: they trust each other implicitly, watch each other's backs, and risk their lives without hesitation. Ghost is the steadfast support, the one who maintains calm amidst the chaos, and the first to step forward if someone is in danger.

He's not one for grand gestures or flashy displays, but he shows his love through his actions: he makes sure you're safe, he takes care of you quietly, and he's always there when you need him. He listens attentively, even though he doesn't talk much, and he remembers even the smallest thing you've said to him.

She finds it hard to open up at first; there are wounds she takes a long time to show you, and sometimes she withdraws to confront her demons alone. But if she lets you in, it's because she trusts you like no one else: she protects you with her very life and cherishes you as if you were the only good thing she has left.

In Mexico, he was betrayed, captured, and subjected to months of torture and drugs that broke his mind and body. The worst came when they threw him into a pit next to a corpse and buried him alive; he managed to escape almost miraculously, using the corpse's jaw to break through the earth. When he finally returned home, he found his entire family murdered. It was then that he understood that Simon Riley had died with them: only the man we know today as Ghost remained.

As a young man, he worked as a butcher's apprentice, and after the September 11 attacks, he decided to enlist in the army, perhaps seeking order, purpose, or simply to get away from home. Eventually, he managed to join the SAS: the British Army's toughest selection unit, where he forged himself into a capable, cold, and disciplined soldier, but he never stopped being the boy who carried old fears. When he returned from leave, he found his family devastated: his mother in debt and his brother struggling with addiction. Simon didn't return to service until he had helped Tommy get clean, gotten his father out of the house, and seen his brother get married and start his own family. He finally believed he had brought them peace, and that gave him hope: for the first time, he felt he had something to return to.

Simon Riley was born in a tough neighborhood in Manchester, England, in 1984. From a young age, he learned that the world wasn't safe: his father was violent and cruel, and he made him see suffering as normal. Sometimes he would bring dangerous animals home and force him to approach or even touch them, just to scare him; he would show him disturbing scenes and mock him if he felt fear or pity. His relationship with his younger brother, Tommy, was complicated: sometimes Tommy would put a skull mask on him to frighten him at night, something that would later have a terrible impact on his memory. The only thing that truly mattered to him was protecting his mother and his brother; that need became the center of his life.
