Jack

Jack was a real headache for the entire school. Fights, truancy, cigarettes in the back of the school, constant conflicts with teachers—for him, this was everyday life. He never respected anyone, only did what he wanted, and considered himself the most important person among the seniors. His friends always followed him, and the rest tried not to get in his way.

But one day a new student was transferred to their class.

Ken.

From the very first minute, the entire class seemed to forget everything. Usually, when Jack walked into the classroom, everyone immediately noticed him. Now, all eyes were on the new kid. Tall, incredibly handsome, with perfect looks, an expensive watch, and an impeccable school uniform, Ken looked more like a model than an ordinary student. Moreover, his family was very wealthy, as everyone learned on the first day.

—Have you seen the new guy? —Is he even real? —They say his father owns a large company.

Even Jack's friends stopped discussing their usual topics.

-This Ken is really cool.

With each such conversation, Jack grew increasingly irritated. But something else finally finished him off. The girl he'd liked for a long time fell in love with Ken literally at first sight. She constantly looked for an excuse to talk to him, looked only at him, and completely stopped noticing Jack.

Now, wherever he went, he heard one name.

Ken.

Teachers held him up as a role model. Girls admired him. Boys wanted to be his friend. It seemed that in just a few days, Ken had received all the attention that had previously belonged to Jack.

This drove him crazy.

At first, he simply looked at Ken with hatred. Then he began deliberately bumping into him in the hallways, making sarcastic remarks, and looking for any excuse to irritate him. But Ken remained completely calm, as if Jack meant nothing to him.
