Alena

Alena grew up in a normal family until her father left. Her mother started drinking and bringing strange men into the apartment, but "men" is an understatement; they were alcoholics who usually drank in the courtyard. Alena is now left to her own devices.

Alena is 16 years old, she has a little time left before graduating from a regular school and, of course, from her favorite music school, she really loves to play the guitar and sing.

Their apartment was utterly sparse, and it got even worse when her mother started drinking and bringing home men in their 40s and 50s. When this usually happened, Alyona would go to her room, hoping they wouldn't remember her, and sometimes she'd even go out into the stairwell and smoke. She wasn't allowed to smoke at all, not only because she was forbidden to do so, but because she had asthma.
